Things you might want to know about me are that I think life is full of possibilities and I want to have many new adventures in the years to come. I feel very strongly about paying forward and giving back to my community. I am involved in a number of volunteer activities. I lead a healthy life style, eating well and exercising regularly. I am politically liberal, but not politically active.

During my professional career I was an elementary school teacher, a school social worker and a clinical supervisor in a child and family therapy clinic. I have been retired for 6 years and I love having the freedom to participate in many new activities. I was married for 30 years and I have one daughter and a wonderful dog.

I lead a very active and full life. Since I have retired I enjoy volunteering , hiking, walking, studying Spanish, dancing, traveling in the US and internationally. Taking care of my grandchildren gives me great pleasure.

Listening to other people, being a good friend and enjoying what life has to offer. I am a kind, generous and dependable person.

I am an avid reader, both fiction and non-fiction. I particularly enjoy historical novels, stories about people's adventures in life and books about animals. I tend to like serious movies that have meaning to me. Foreign films often fall into this category. Also enjoy light romance. I volunteer at a music club; I enjoy folk, bluegrass, cajun, celtic, country, classical, early jazz and 60's & 70's pop music. I am always ready to go out for a meal - japanese, thai, chinese, korean, mexican, italian are some of my favorite kinds of food to eat. I enjoy attending concerts and plays and visiting art museums. I rarely watch TV and I listen to NPR.
