My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I used to look like Joni Mitchell but had to turn in my Ladies of the Canyon badge when I cut my hair and moved to Culver City. I still miss the Ladies, tho...

My greatest joy in life is to laugh. I've got a great sense of goofy particularly when friends, family and of course, couples (!) come together, loosen up and anything goes! (Which is not to say I am not a deep thinker; I ponder the imponderables and daily sweat over the millenials, climate change and the Koch brothers.)

Good conversation is about as good as it gets to me. My favorite thing in life is a 2fer slumber party where deep thoughts are discussed ("for the great relief of having you to talk to…"), passion flares! the icebox is raided and hilarity ensues as we eat and laugh our hineys off to the tune of the White Album or Miles Davis…

Really, I'm all about friendship. The best relationships always seem to come out of friendship, I find. I mean, "You can't hurry love, no, you just have to wait!...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a writer by trade and when I'm not chained to my computer, I'm out having fun with my friends, at a (good) movie (hard to find) or entertaining my dogs. Not an easy task…but God IS dog spelled backwards and I totally subscribe to that!

I'm someone who enjoys a life between the ears as much as a life at the gym, who might prefer a book or appointment TV as much as say, climbing Mt. Baldy. I'm no Jane Tarzan (they WERE married weren't they?) but I stay fit with a personal brew of yoga, ballet and walking my doglettes through the mean streets of Culver City. The Middle Way, as they say...

Like all good Angelenos, I love being in nature, (fishing!), on the beach (or anywhere) running the hounds off the leash. Hikelettes. Road trips. Whale watching.

And, not to be crabby here, but if you're an UBER sports fan or tend to vote Conservative better pass me by…we might kill each. (But in a nice way : ) If, on the other hand, you're a Moderate (liberal) sports fan, well, I'm not a hard hearted woman...

And though I'm chatting up a storm now, I am naturally warm and curious and love nothing more than listening to…you.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
At making people feel comfortable. My curiosity runs deep and I get great joy out of learning about someone new (about anything!) which makes me a great listener. And talker (let's be honest here). As I said before, great conversation spiced with lots of laughter, is what life is all about!
The first things people usually notice about me

MOVIES: This will shock you but it really is the most gorgeous film--"The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" (favorite film, right up there with "The Pianist" and "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World... "Days of Wine and Roses." Anything by Billy Wilder...I love 'em dark, I love 'em goofy, I love the movies!

BOOKS: Girl classics: The Brontes, Jane Austin, Edith Warton--the best! Tom Wolfe, David Sedaris, John Irving, Nora Ephron, Michael Chabon; spiritual books: Jack Kornfield's "A Path with Heart," "The Nag Hammadi," & "The Gnostic Gospels" Elaine Pagels, Stephen Levine, Rumi...

The great sixties stuff: Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Dylan, THE BEATLES! Leonard Cohan, Van Morrison, all of them!; Slow and sexy Jazz; Enya (yes, Enya!); Moby, Dead Can Dance, Lisa Gerard...The Cure (!) and movie soundtracts: "Jesse James," "Thin Red Line"--pure poetry! "House of Sand and Fog"--anything by Hans Zimmer...& Classical, of course. Beethoven! Cello music...YoYo Ma.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have a photograph and live near (Los Angeles) me.

You are kind and loyal, and a genuinely big hearted man who thinks laughter and conversation are right up there.

Bonus points if:
- you love your family and stand not too many inches above me.
- you're close to me in age, preferably 2 to 4 years older…or younger?
- you believe in "long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days…" : )
