My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a self-declared Public Radio Junkie. I love board games and enjoy everything from museums and opera to darts and dive bars. I'm always up for a good happy hour as long as you're ok with my quirky, sarcastic and sometimes slightly off-beat sense of humor.

Relocating to the Twin Cities area in early November 2014. I've lived in NYC, Belgium, Chicago, DC, Baltimore and upstate NY.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I live, breathe and, fortunately enough, work Public Radio.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Baking. I make a mean apple pie, my banana bread is pretty tasty and my chocolate cake recipe is incredible. I don't bake often, but when I do the result is generally scrumptious.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My laugh.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My iPod Shuffle - I listen to a ton of podcasts, but hate draining my phone battery. When I found my old iPod Shuffle, it made my life so much better. I'm a little lost without it.
2) Karaoke - I love a good karaoke night. I think there's a real art to picking the right song and love finding people who appreciate this as much as I do.
3) Social Media - I'm addicted, yes. But I've moved around a lot and FB/Twitter/Instagram is what keeps me connected to my friends and family. Plus, I just think it's fun. And I'm not even a little ashamed of any of this.
4) Public Radio - Sorta goes without saying, but it's like a religion for me.
5) Travel - Back to that whole "I've moved around a lot" thing. I tend to travel to see people and have never really been on a true vacation, but I'm hoping to change that in the near future.
6) Friends, family, laughter, the interwebs, my glasses/contacts, work, books, music and all those other more obvious things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The theme songs I would assign to the people around me. It'd be like Shaft or John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. People walking down the street with the perfect song accompanying them. And of course, they'd always walk to the beat.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
laying low with a good book/movie/TV show and a good bottle of wine. Friday nights tend to be low key and I'm totally ok with that. Saturdays are for late nights in fun places and ridiculous adventures. Fridays are good food, good wine, good company and recovering from a good week at work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I run into things. Often.
