I am sugar-coated, sticky, and adept.
My Self-Summary
Though I may seem contradictory, the pieces of me fit together well
and make sense (at least to me). As the first of my family to go to
college, I am a mix of blue collar and my own artistic
eccentricities, though I do not claim to be anything special. I am
more a dabbler in drawing, music and writing, though I draw more
than I write or play music these day. Moreover, I can be quiet at
times but I can also warm up and be charming and dryly humorous
(not that I don't also appreciate and sometimes engage in the
low-brow too). Shy though I might seem at first, given time, I'm
something else -- be it shooting the breeze over drinks or coffee,
the occasional camping trip, or relating some mad project I am
working on in the wee hours of the night. Many of commented that
though I might seem cynical or sarcastic, underneath I am sweet and
hopeful.
What I’m doing with my life
When not buying used books for a local independent bookstore, I'm
working working on some comics project, writing or fiddling about
on my guitar. I work to live and try to spend my time working on
what gives me satisfaction, be it writing an essay or a song or
just a long walk observing the whacked out world around me. Though
I may not necessarily know where I am going, I appreciate the
tangents that lead there. What that could be might include making a
construction paper diorama of a bunny, working on a longer graphic
fiction piece or bbqing in the backyard while the cat chases a
mouse and ineptly loses it.
I’m really good at
Observing details, coming up with Rube Goldberg-like schemes, being
amusing, improvising verse, fighting off invading racoons with
brooms, making art with sharpies, bubble wrap and styrofoam,
spit-takes, pratfalls and making noise. Lately I have been making
dioramas occasionally. I can also cook when I put my mind to it.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height, my blue eyes, my smirk, quizzical expression on my face,
intently doing something . . .
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I will listen to anything and give any book a chance (though I
might not finish it). I don't someone's taste against them,
whatever they like an always interesting collage of who they
are.

but then it's not necessarily about what you like but how you
absorb it.
The six things I could never do without
Music,
my evil
cat, something to write or draw with and something to do it on,
my
guitar, and
coffee.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how to draw a
bunny,
two chords or three?, fishing my cat out of the bathtub, should i
price the book at $15,000, what rhymes with "plutonium" and a
thousand other bits and pieces of cranial miscellany.
On a typical Friday night I am
seeing a band, having a drink, riding my bike, or at home with my
feet up listening to whatever music is striking my fancy at the
moment, drawing, sitting on the back porch reading, wrestling with
an art project, or whatever else has risen from the depths of my
head.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am both eccentric and normal at the same time.
You should message me if
You are semi-entertaining, willing to have a conversation filled
with tangents and wordplay, or because you feel weirdly compelled
to do so (the reason undetermined). I'm interested in meeting women
who have a sense of humor and have their own preoccupations, but
are willing to share them and be open to the interests of others.
Communication is always important.
