I am Funny, Creative, and Curious.

My Self-Summary

In short I am a long haired smart creative funny guy who when he is not working he is out having fun in nature. Ok that was the short version in one long run-on sentence. So I need to get to 1000 words in order to reach the next percentage milstone on my profile so I am going to write a longer version.

The longer version is I was born in Los Angeles and lived there half of my life. I loved California. With 20 minutes of driving I can be in the mountains or down by the ocean. When the ground started shaking with the 1994 Earthquake My family left California for Florida.

Florida is one of those nice places to visit but a bore to live there. Lets face it, Florida is gods waiting room. Thanks to a Hurricane I left Florida. I finished high school in Georgia and went to Clark University in Worcester Massachusetts.

Upon graduating I went to work for IBM. I worked in Lexington but lived in Gloucester. I had a place on the water and often worked remotely on the beach.

IBM now has a new lab in Littleton and I moved to Westford to be closer. I even made a New Years resolution to bike to work everyday during the summer. Unfortunately the location wasn't completely ready but I still bike to work. It ends up being 18 miles from Westford to Lexington rather than 2 miles from Westford to Littleton.

What I’m doing with my life

I just bought my first place in Westford and still exploring the area. I am an avid Scuba diver who specializes in ship wrecks. During the weekends I can be found either in the water, on the beach, on the trail, or out on my bicycle.

I mostly scuba dive in the Rockport/Gloucester area. You may not think there is much to see up there but I see everything from sea ravens to ship wrecks. Other than local diving, I usually go up to canada or down to Florida a few times a year. The last major dive trip I went to was Belize.

So I bike to work, which...... builds character. Even though I bike during the week I can be found biking on the weekend. I currently have been exploring different stops along the minuteman bikeway.

I don't get out on the trails often but I normally hike in the Blue Hills south of Boston. I recently hiked to the top of Mount Wachusett. I am still looking for some new trails and places to go.

I’m really good at

So I am a really good problem solver. Mostly because I am a bit stubborn and creative enough to continuously find new ways of solving problems. That and it also is my job.

I first joined IBM around 5 years ago to solve problems customers have with our software. Now I am a developer creating tools for customers to solve problems.

The first things people usually notice about me

I have long hair and a big smile. Actually people mostly notice the hair. I have curly hair that sometimes decides to proof Newton wrong when it comes to gravity.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books:
Whether its Science Fiction, History, or autobiographies, I am a fan of books which explore something new and different. Its odd, I mostly use Audio books these days. I am not sure if those count as books.

Movies:
My favorite movie franchise has to be Indiana Jones one to three. I am not counting 4.

Music:
Modest Mouse, Death Cab, Unwritten law, Blink-182, Sigur Ros

Food:
Comfort Food.

The six things I could never do without

1) Computer
2) IPhone
3) Bicycle
4) Dive Gear
5) Camera
6) Guitar

I spend a lot of time thinking about

So I am a bit of a workaholic. I guess that is why I love diving. When I am underwater I think I about my environment, my dive buddies, and basically survival.

On a typical Friday night I am

ON a typical Friday I am usually out with friends. I usually can be found at the Publick house in Brookline or the Asgard in Cambridge. When I can't get out.... I normally sit down with a good book or watch a movie. When it comes to movies. I love stupid creature features.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Ha! hmmm..... I am trying to think of something that could not be used as blackmail I will have to get back to this.

You should message me if

If you are from the Westford, Littleton, Chelmsford, Ayes, or Acton area than I please message me. I am still the new guy in town and I am looking for a guide.
