My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
-Sac, then UCLA, and now in SF for work/school. I frequently reflect on how different the cultures are of all those places.
-Brutally honest. Introspective. Open-minded. Progressive. Competitive. Acid tongue.
-Most of life is just rehearsed, surface encounters and small talk. I prefer real, deep conversation.
-Total political/entertainment junkie.
-Part-time idealist. Part-time cynic.
-Fitness nut. Played basketball/baseball. Somewhat training for a pro boxing fight that probably won't ever happen.
-"Choom gang" member
-Cooking. Photography (darkroom not digital). Looking sharp; I try to dress up, a concept foreign to people in these parts. Schmidt from New Girl is a hero. Can someone look up to sitcom characters?
-I've worked to get where I am and had to overcome a lot of things. I try to be a happy, upbeat warrior.
-I think a career should have substance, but I must admit I'm at times torn between enjoying the world and helping the world.
-The greatest compliment I can give someone is saying they're genuine. I am drawn to down to earth people.
-Ethnically, I'm Jewish and half Puerto Rican. Worlds collide!
-Something about this song speaks to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiGPPK1Wgd0
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Like a duck, floating calmly on the surface and paddling hard underneath.

State politics (water and environmental issues) for a couple hectic years. Now law school at...you can guess. Update: I guess I'm a "tech entrepreneur" now, but I am NOT a techie. If you know any non-$75/hr developers, shoot me a message.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
making dark and stormys, memorizing obscure stuff so Jeopardy and trivia nights (trust me, I will blow you away), texting (it's an art), psychoanalyzing people, interpreting information, playing Devil's Advocate, double entendres, talking trash.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I talk. A lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Plot Against America, Confessions of Nat Turner, Huck Finn, To Kill A Mockingbird, Cadillac Desert, The Brick Bible!

Movies: Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, Leaves of Grass, Swingers, Jackie Brown, My Cousin Vinny obviously, Primary Colors, Training Day. I'm a big fan of (good) documentaries--Hoop Dreams, The War Room, and yes, Bowling for Columbine.

TV: Daily Show, Seinfeld, Mad Men, Veep, Louie, The Wire, Star Trek TNG, X-Files, HBO Boxing

Music: Hip hop. House. House/hip hop mashups. Tracks Of My Tears. Mykonos. Lots of other stuff.

Food: I'd eat sushi every meal for life--I don't care what happened to Jeremy Piven.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My friends. The kindness of strangers. Fitness. The temporary euphoria that comes from success. Rainy days. Club soda.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit

I'm only 5'11" and a half. But I heard the average user exaggerates their height by 2 inches so I think I'm okay. I'd like to put 5'10" and be taller than you expect but then you'll think I'm only 5'8" and that might be too short for some on here so...here we are.

you're smart, confident, quippy, sporty (I kinda dream of living out that scene in Love & Basketball), and can give as good as you get. I guess I should add: as I've gotten older, I realize that the Jewish thing is a big part of my identity and it's important to me.

And please don't rate me or "like" me or whatever, I can't see them and besides they're silly. If you like my profile, send a message. The message feature can be used for more than just replying.
