My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a Berkeley, CA transplant. Still trying to settle into things here.

Some things:

I'm a goofball. I feel that the overwhelming existential void is best faced with silly jokes and a healthy dose of sarcasm. I've developed a passionate, steamy love affair with all things absurd and humorous and I can get more than a little sassy. I will poke fun at you, but by all means please poke back.

I'm a geek. I love diving into new things: ideas, places, people, whatever will expand my mental realm. Curiosity is a central pillar of my existence. If conversation is good I can talk and debate and discuss for hours on end. If conversation is bad I can make awkward jokes for hours on end.

I like doing things: dancing, walking, hiking, biking, climbing, making, building, watching, listening, reading, and lots of other gerunds. But I also like not doing things. One of my mantras is an old Spanish proverb: "How beautiful it is to do nothing, and then rest afterwards." Maybe I should move to Spain?

But if it all has to come down to one sentence, I consider myself to be a genuine person with a deep heart and a clear mind. Just looking to share the world with similar people!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I handle payroll and manage the floor at a large restaurant in Chelsea to make that dolla dolla bill, y'all.

But I'm currently looking for a new career, hopefully in the social impact sector. So, writing far too many cover letters and introduction emails and trying not to cry myself to sleep at night.

In my free time I produce electronic music, which helps keep some of the sanity in my life during the endless job hunt slog.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Funny faces, hugs, witty repartee, catching things before they fall, laughing at my own jokes, ...

Would like to get better at:

Mindfulness, singing, handstands, thoughtful gift giving, melodic intuition, making chili, ...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
From far away, raucous laughter. From up close, baby blues. From really close, surprisingly soft facial hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Favorite books of all time...this is really tough, but I'm gonna have to go with His Dark Materials, I cry every time I finish reading them. Second favorite would be The Old Man and the Sea–you'll get him next time Santi! Third favorite would be an incredibly long list, but most recently: The Things They Carried, The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, Ender's Game, American Gods, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, ...

I love most all forms of music. Except modern country, sorry (aside from my shameless crush on T Swift, swoooon). Really dig Claude VonStroke and his dirtybird label, J Dilla, Gorillaz, MF DOOM, Interpol, Paul Simon, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Fleet Foxes, Django Reinhardt, and on and on and on...

That goes for the rest too, TV, movies, food, etc. As long as it's not bland, I'm diggity down. Introduce me to a new cultural cuisine I haven't tried or an epic TV show I haven't seen and you'll be my bestest fraynd. That said, sushi and Futurama will always be fast tracks to my heart.

I also thoroughly enjoy whipping up a dish or two. Notable favorites being pappardelle bolognese, fish tacos, homemade mac n cheese, and the best chocolate chip cookies you will ever have in your entire life, guaranteed, period.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 People whom I love and respect
2 Curiosity
3 The means to express myself
4 Cold water
5 Beauty
6 Hilarious banter
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. Nothing. Whether free will truly exists or not.

But mostly how dolphins seem to have it all figured out.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Flamboasting.

You're someone I'm gonna wanna write home about. I'm looking for something more serious here (gasp!).

You throw down on the dancefloor.

You aren't afraid to be a goof at any and all times.

You don't have hang ups with honestly expressing yourself and your needs or desires.

You have a biting wit, you are super duper nice to customer service people, and you think we'd be two sexy peas in a pod.
