I am idealistic, relentless, and spontaneous.

My Self-Summary

I'm a senior at the University of Kentucky. Nearing a Bachelors in English.

Some tid-bits:

...I have an insatiable sweet tooth. I sometimes go to movies by myself -- having a theater all to yourself for an hour and a half is awesome. I sometimes go to bed at 6 and wake up at 2 in the morning just to switch things up. Sunsets and rain are magic. I bleed blue... If you don't know what that means, you're probably not a sports fan. Which is okay... for now. I'll never start a fight, but I can hold my own. I think I have ADD but I'm pretty sure everyone has it on some level. I believe in a higher power, I'm just unclear on what it is. I believe in the power of love and that "knowledge is power." I believe that you should help yourself first, so that you can better help others. I don't believe in the making of money for money's sake.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm an English major in my senior year at UK. I write a lot... short stories, screenplays, poems sometimes. Had a poem published in a UK newspaper. Placed in a few international screenwriting competitions, won the Grand Prize in one. Looking for a manager and agent, hopefully going to sell that screenplay at some point. I do some acting -- community theatre mostly. A friend and I are working on developing a short film to submit to film festivals. Pretty excited to get that off the ground. Other than that... I live day to day, trying not to forget the world spinning beneath me.

I’m really good at

Writing. Acting. Helping friends in tough situations. Making killer banana bread with apple sauce. And willing the Kentucky Wildcats to impressive victories... which didn't work very well last season. But I'm predicting (with the rest of Wildcat country) that Coach Cal will remedy that ailment.

The first things people usually notice about me

Hmm... Visually: hair and smile I guess. I don't know. I don't pay attention.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Like most, I have way too many favorites. So, I'm just listing two...

2 books: Slaughterhouse-Five and The Things They Carried.

2 movies: No Country for Old Men and Good Will Hunting.

TV: FRIENDS and The Simpsons... I've literally seen every episode of each. I don't watch much tv anymore, but I never miss an episode of LOST.

Music: Glen Hansard and Eddie Vedder are gods. If one were capable of childbirth, and the other somehow (through some strange combination of events) impregnated him, their child would bring about a blinding musical perfection that is probably humanly impossible. (I listen to The Killers and The Features a lot too).

Food: I'll try anything once, but probably pizza or steak.

The six things I could never do without

1- Family
2- Love
3- Peace of mind
4- Dreams
5- Passion
6- Pen and paper... actually I could probably live without those, but they are pretty important.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

On a typical Friday night I am

Probably catching up on sleep, writing, reading, or toiling away on the guitar like a blind monkey.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Me? Secrets? Nah...

You should message me if

...your life is lead by your passions and dreams... by your heart, not your head... by spontaneity, not rationality.
