My self-summary
I attend New College of Florida and am majoring in sociology and gender studies. I'm queer and poly. I'm very active politically for assorted progressive causes, mostly feminism and trans rights. However, I spend most of my time doing geeky shit: I read a ton, I learn about science and history and mythology for fun, I game a little (mostly board games), I argue on the Internet about comic books. I'm a little bit of a fantasy and science fiction hipster: my favorite authors are totally obscure, you'd never have heard of them. I am introverted and overanalytical about my mental processes.

I am nonbinary, not a girl, and will not respond to emails that call me a girl.
What I’m doing with my life
By day, I'm a mild-mannered college student. By night, my secret identity fights evil and the kyriarchy. This statement is in fact literally true.
I’m really good at
I read ridiculously quickly: I've been known to finish a several hundred page novel in an hour or so. I have an excellent memory for random trivia which, unfortunately, does not extend to the location of my keys. Occasionally people allege that I am a decent writer, a slander which I am far too kind to correct them about.
The first things people usually notice about me
Polls of ACTUAL PEOPLE!

My girlfriend: "That you were dressed in a costume that left you almost entirely naked."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Currently watching My Little Pony and Avatar the Last Airbender. Yes, I am excessively fond of children's cartoons. I probably haven't seen that movie you like; almost all the movies I watch are either superhero movies or children's cartoons.

Music and books are both hard. :P My favorite author, bar none, is Neil Gaiman. To list the authors on one random bookshelf: Scott Westerfield, Eric Flint, Mary Shelley, George Orwell, Carl Sagan, William Goldman, C. S. Lewis, Strunk and White, Garth Nix, Isaac Asimov, Sinclair Lewis, Ray Bradbury, Jim Butcher, John Stuart Mills, Naomi Novik, Robert Lewis Stevenson, Terry Pratchett, Steven Brust, Sophocles, T. S. Eliot. And the last five bands I listened to were NOFX, Cobra Starship, Jonathan Coulton, Green Day, and the Donnas.

I am continually on the hunt for the perfect vegan pizza. I tend to eat one food until I get sick of it; this month's food has been "vegetable soup."
The six things I could never do without
Internet connection, stuffed animals, books, my partners, my friends, a writing medium.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Gender, sexual fantasies, my project of optimizing my brain, my friends and partners, elaborate dystopian alternate universes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either at work (I am a minimum-wage peon) or at home. Alone. On the Internet. Because I am totally cool like that.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am excessively proud of my scars and bruises and will, upon request, explain how I got each and every one of them.

I have firm opinions about the sexuality of fictional characters and will expound on this at great length when prompted. I also have firm opinions about a variety of TV shows I have never seen.

You should message me if
--You're polyamorous.
--You communicate openly and honestly about all aspects of your relationships.
--You believe in the equality of all people. I'm not necessarily saying you have to be a social justice warrior (I'm enough of one for any relationship) but not laughing at the word 'ableism' is a plus.
--You like science and skepticism and reason.
--You love to learn things.
--You like talking. I talk a lot, okay? If you're quiet I will just monologue for hours about Robert Browning and Kadinsky and why Brittney is the best character on Glee.
--You have at least one passion, something you love with your whole heart. I love people who are into everything from DJing to D&D to writing YA fantasy novels, so the topic doesn't really matter to me. But nothing is sexier than passion.
--Your bookshelf is full of books I need to borrow.
--You know that "wherefore" means "why."
