I am Fun-Loving, Active, and Thought-Provoking.

My Self-Summary

I am very much into physical and mental fitness, and as such a healthy life-style. I am a yoga instructor and yoga practitioner. I enjoy reading on topics about self-growth and self-improvement. I am a food lover, I love to eat. I am a music lover, I love listening to music and sometimes making music of my own (I play guitar, bass, and drums). I love to socialize. I am very interested in keeping my profile to the very basics as I think conversation is more intriguing than reading about somebody trying to represent themselves in a few written words.

As far as activities go I like to participate in things more so than watch them. I really enjoy playing sports, particularly volleyball, tennis and soccer.

For me, one of the most important things in life is honesty. Being honest, being truthful about one's feelings, one's thoughts, one's intentions is a sure form of common courtesy and a practical and easy way to avoid causing suffering in relationships, familial, platonic and romantic.

I studied politics, psychology and socio-cultural anthropology as an undergraduate. In graduate school, I studied political philosophy and international relations. My academic concerns focused on conceptions of the self, economic and social justice, natural law, cosmopolitanism, and theories of peace.

FYI- My television is not even connected to the basic channels. I know it is a judgment, but I'd rather live life than watch it vicariously on TV. If you do watch television, I respect that, but I watch almost no television at all, and I hope you can respect that.

"Don't expect too much from me, perfection is no test for me, because the best I'll ever be is just like you, a human being. You won't offend, I need to know, please my friend, show me your soul." (Red Hot Chili Peppers)

What I’m doing with my life

The pursuit of happiness: For myself and others. I think personal happiness is of utmost importance. I think sharing happiness with others is a close second. So I pursue happiness with the honest attempt not to impede anyone else's opportunity to pursue their happiness. As I am pursuing my own happiness, I enjoy time spent with other kind-hearted people pursuing their happiness. To me, a life without happiness seems a life not worth living.

So how am I pursuing my happiness and supporting others pursuing happiness?

One, by absolutely loving my job, I am a yoga instructor, and I find it very rewarding and in my work as I am helping others find/maintain their happiness.

I’m really good at

I don't think this is the place for bragging or ego. So, I'm really good at avoiding this question.

The first things people usually notice about me

My smile, I suppose: I laugh a lot. I crack jokes.

Others claim I have a positive energy/vibe that can be felt right off the bat, I think that is flattering and pretty cool, and it feels good to hear.

At the same time, what people actually see or perceive is so different that I don't think there is a "usual."

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love science fiction and fantasy, I love philosophy. I like to read about self-growth and self-improvement. Every moment of everyday is an opportunity become a more conscious self.

Piers Anthony is my favorite author science fiction/fantasy author

Favorite Books: The Stand (Stephen King), The Gunslinger (Stephen King), On A Pale Horse (Piers Anthony), Split Infinity (Piers Anthony).

Favorites movies: The Big Lebowski, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Dazed and Confused, Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny.

Music: Dave Matthews Band, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Rush, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Love and Rockets.

Asian Food is a fav: Sushi, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese.

I like to eat out with friends and I also like to have pot lucks/BBQs/cookouts with friends. I particularly enjoy eating with large groups of people and socializing.

The six things I could never do without

In no particular order:

(1) Good Humor
(2) Good Food
(3) Socializing
(4) Love
(5) Music
(6) Leisure Time

I spend a lot of time thinking about

In no particular order:

(1) Peace, Love and Joy
(2) Music
(3) The people I care most about
(4) Myself and becoming more conscious
(5) Truth
(6) Humanity

On a typical Friday night I am

Teaching yoga, then probably out to eat with friends and seeing where the night goes. I don't really believe in typical though.

If it were typical, after dinner there is some hot-tubing and conversation, etc.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Nothing to report. Get to know me and then I'll share some of myself.

You should message me if

You are into physical fitness, you are intellectual, you appreciate humor and also you find yourself humorous, and you like to participate in things, hobbies, various activities.

I am not against drinking, but I rarely if ever drink, so you should probably not contact me if you want a drinking buddy or a drinking date.
