My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Independent, multi-faceted, daring and witty. Sometimes tomboy, sometimes vixen. Curious by nature, and for a living.

A good conversation or experience should take me outside my comfort zone, to broaden my horizon, or blow me straight out of it..

NY feels like the place for me but I can feel at ease almost anywhere; from the Canadian Rocky Mountains to Bamyan or Beiruth, from Marfa, TX to the city I live in: Amsterdam.

I used to be a sucker for facts and figures but nowadays I get much more inspired by out-of-the-box thinking. Like Picasso said 'art is a lie that makes us realize truth'.

(An interviewer with a wooden leg to Frank Zappa: "With your long hair, from where I am sitting, you could be a woman."
Zappa: "From where I’m sitting, you could be a table.")
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an investigative reporter (former editor/researcher/producer) who's passionately fallen in love with New York.
I used to work as one of the three editors for the Dutch equivalent of Meet the Press and as a researcher/producer for a public television current affairs documentary series comparable to PBS's Frontline.
Looking for work in NY..
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently and die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."
- Robert A. Heinlein

In addition to part of the above, I'm pretty good at:

Finding interesting, intriguing things to indulge in.

Finding excuses why indulging would be the right thing to do.

Going astray (no sense of direction!) and ending up somewhere better by gut feeling and experience.

Thoroughly enjoying hilarious stories.

Kindling enthusiasm in whatever I find to be mindblowing and getting infected by it myself.

I have a zest for non-conformist people with a streak of genius, with above average humor, creativity or passion; for clever people who enjoy telling and listening to spellbinding stories.

Or you're just incredibly sexy, can make me shed tears of laughter, challenge me intellectually and/or show me hidden gems of New York I won't be able to find without you.
