I will get around to writing more in this one day. But here's a little bit for now:

My name is Sam, and I am an actor. In addition to acting, I just started my own community theatre company, the Mind's Eye Players (Google us!). I am overweight, but I am working on that while taking all of the funny, fat, sidekick roles I can get before I start to lose some serious weight.

Like most actors, I am outgoing, spontaneous, and weird. You know, the kind of weird where you want to keep watching me do what I am doing, but don't want anyone to know you're with me kinda weird.

The reason I perform is out of a genuine desire to make people happy. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a smile on someones face and knowing that I was the one to put it there.

Like I said above, I act in a multitude of community theatre shows while trying to start my own theatre company. I hope to one day move out to LA or New York and pursue a career in acting. At the very least I will then be able to say I gave it a shot, and had fun doing it.

Currently, when I'm not on stage, I work as a photographer at The Columbus Zoo & Aquarium and more recently I am a programs teacher at COSI, which is the best job ever!

Video Games, slight of hand magic, singing, math, music theory, Rubik's Cubes, Juggling, and Stage Combat.

Books: A Song of Ice and Fire series, Life of Pi, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, all the Harry Potter books, A Brief History of Time, Tricks of the Mind by Derren Brown.

Movies: Pretty much everything except modern slasher films. My all time favorite movie (after careful consideration after working at Blockbuster for a year an a half) is Princess Bride. Notable other favorites include (in no order): Every Pixar movie (Incredibles is my favorite), Big Lebowski, Star Wars, The Prestige, Fight Club, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, Lord of War, Lucky Number Slevin, American Beauty, Reservoir Dogs, Labyrinth, Tommy Boy, Surf Ninjas (If you are familiar with Surf Ninjas, please message me, I am beginning to think this movie never existed for anyone else), Galaxy Quest, Watchmen, and pretty much everything else. This list is never truly finished.

TV Shows: Firefly, Doctor Who, Misfits, Sherlock, Community, Game of Thrones, Venture Bros, Arrested Development, Parks & Rec, Person of Interest, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, SNL, The Office, Big Bang Theory, Mythbusters, Family Guy

Music: Literally everything except hardcore rap, and overly corny country (which includes all but one or two legitimately good country songs.) If you show me music you like, I will probably like it too, and thank you for showing me something new. I don't discover music on my own very often. I am still stuck in the Beatles and Queen era.

My friends, my family, my computer, my phone, my piano, the theatre.

Space and time. The grand mysteries of the universe. The meaning of life. Those sorts of things.

However, I am not sure if that makes me deep, or a big nerd. I am fine with either.

I once thought that I gave someone epilepsy. It's actually a really funny story, ask me about it!

You love theatre, singing, video games, Star Wars, or you just want someone to make you laugh.

I love meeting new people, and am always up for people to play games with or sing, or go geocaching if the weather isn't too cold.
