I am reliable, easy-going, and committed.
My Self-Summary
It took me quite some time to describe myself in three words (-
what was it like for you?), and I would like to explain a little
what those three words mean to me and what they tell about
me:
If I promise you something or if I tell you I'll do something (for
you), you can count on it 80 percent. Of course, 100 percent would
sound much nicer but I'm honest, too, so there you go.
I like making plans, in everyday life and even more so for big
things to happen (for example, I had a birth plan written out on 8
pages for the birth of my son in March this year...). Quite often
plans have to be changed/ adjusted and, I have to admit, that can
result difficult for me. Other than that, I'm as easy-going as can
be. Be my guest sometime or go on a holiday with me and you'll see.
Nothing of "no, no, we can't go there because I don't like this or
that". I'm not like that. I like trying out new things. I
appreciate others making suggestions of what to do and where to go
as well as I enjoy making suggestions myself. And what is more, I
love living the days with nothing planned but just going with the
flow.
I live in a polyamorous relationship and I consider myself very
committed with my partner(s). For the time being there is only one
but my partner has another woman in his life. There is a chance
that she might start seeing someone else... As for me, I haven't
met this other person yet who might become a second partner for me
but I feel he's somewhere out there. I met him in a dream and,
obviously, this might just be a dream but there it is and I'm ready
to be surprised by what (or better whom) life brings along for
me.
Now, if this last paragraph gives you the shivers, you better not
read on and you better not contact me. If you find it interesting
and, better still, it matches with how you (want to) live than this
could be a reason to contact me.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I have the privilege to say I'm a dedicated mother and I
have a partner (who has another son) to share it with. We both
spend a lot of time with our wonderful son(s) watching him/ them
grow and if you do have kids, you'll understand the importance of
this.
Before I became mother, I was a teacher for 9 years and it's likely
that I'll dedicate myself to that profession again in the future. I
like my job but I have also had other jobs in my life and, to me,
my profession never reached a very high score of importance in my
life. It's important to me that I like what I do in my everyday
life but, quite honestly, it could be a lot of things.
I’m really good at
... a lot of things ;-)
teaching, reading out loud, languages, cooking, eating with
pleasure, enjoying life, being an optimist, listening, dancing,
driving a car, mixing with people, sewing (which I discovered only
recently and I am not terribly good at it but I'm inventive),
remembering phone numbers, dates/ where you left your purse,
glasses etc., hence: observing (which can also become quite a
strain)
The first things people usually notice about me
Oh well, it's my height
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf? (book and film, starring Elizabeth
Taylor and Richard Burton); Poisonwood Bible (B. Kingsolver);
Children of Violence series (D. Lessing); The Deptford Trilogy; Das
Versprechen (F. Dürrenmatt); Women who run with the Wolves (Pinkóla
Estés); Como agua para chocolate
Blade Runner; (almost) anything by Tarantino; Zeit der Wölfe; Das
Leben der Anderen; Out of Africa; Snatch; The man who climbed a
hill and came down a mountain; Star Trek: First Contact
Techno, House; Jazz; Brit Pop; Classic
Homemade food - I love eating and I'd eat almost anything
The six things I could never do without
Food; The smile of my son; Music (and singing along with - possibly
- nobody listening); Books; an extra-long duvet; a toothbrush (or
any natural device to replace it)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, myself, my son, my relationship and the people involved,
happiness
On a typical Friday night I am
... at home, possibly with friends, the members of my family
project. Very occasionally I'm going out partying. I had my party
nights, I do not terribly miss them. I'm sure I'll have them again
some day (soon) but not as a typical venture.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'd love to enlarge my family...
You should message me if
... you're interested in my way of living/ loving.
