What I’m doing with my life

Finally starting to explore a bunch of things I've put on hold for awhile like swimming, filmmaking, playing, and dancing.

I’m really good at

I have some good household skills like cooking and entertaining, but not cleaning. I have a number of professional skills like designing, creating wireframes, conducting research, administering, blah blah blah. It's actually nice to get to know someone and not even know what they do professionally and then see if you still like them.

I'm tall. I have a nice smile. My mother says it's a Mary Tyler Moore smile (not her late-in-life skinny diabetes smile, rather her 1970s turn-the-world-on kind).

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Almost all of Robertson Davies' novels, Harry Potter (for fluff), I'm reading Michael Pollen now which is interesting but depressing. I like artsy movies and also scifi/fantasy genre movies. I get tired of big Hollywood blockbusters with lots of effects and a crappy plot. Like District 9. Boy did that suck. I walked out on that and I haven't walked out on a movie in like 20 years. I'm into the slow food movement sorta-kinda, so I like local healthy stuff when I can get it. I like to cruise and peruse the farmer's markets. All kinds of music, but heavy lean towards female vocalists.

On a typical Friday night I am

Recently I've been having dates with myself. I know that may sound creepy or self-indulgent, but I really like taking the time to make myself a nice dinner and have a bath or whatever. If going out with others I'll go to the movies or out to dinner. My favorite "first date" on a Friday is to go to Friday nights at the de Young. I'm a member, it's free. Ask me ;)

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I was a member here before but there were too many bisexual and poly people for my taste (as I'm neither - nothing against, but there weren't enough full blooded gayboys for me).
