My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

-genderqueer, fuck your gender expectations.
-outside, walking in nature. I need these things.
-I'm looking for a life partner. related:
"You can't rush a miracle.
You know what happens when you rush a miracle? You get a rotten miracle!"
also, I think that a strong friendship is the only way to develop a partnership. And I think that making life choices on purpose is also important. EG, deciding to live together rather than just falling into it.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Nursing nursing nursing. I'm hoping to start back at school in the fall, so I'll have an BSN from an accelerated program in two or three years. I just finished a CNA course, and I'm gonna start applying to hospitals once I have my cert at the end of the month.

In the meantime I've been getting better at dance and flow props, performing fire, teaching kids math, and working at starbucks (fresh roasted cylon)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Violin. I only have a few songs memorized, but I have a lot of tricks and traps in my bag and I can jam pretty well. I tend to play violin during crafty parties. I can also play sheet music, but I don't wanna. Also teaching (both violin and math), because I'm awesome.

Feminism. I feel like I'm at a point of feminism where I realize how far I have to go. My feminism will be intersectional or it will be bullshit! That's really, really important. If we let our attempts to solve sexism live in a different box than our attempts to solve racism etc, where we don't help each other, nothing will get solved. If we exchange knowledge and skills and assistance freely between each box, we will all be much stronger.

Consent. "Fuck yes!" or "no", for everything, please. I'd ideally like to even include this for work.

teaching and learning

I'm really really excited about flow toys. I'm most in love with hula Hoop and contact ball. I also love levi wand, but it consistently hurts me in a way that means I can't be flow with it. It's like that ex that every time you see you want to get back with, and then they hurt you again in the same pattern, and you remember why you can't be together. I also like staff, and I'm just getting to know it again after a long hiatus that has more to do with gender expectations than with actual staff flow.

You tell me.

Really! I want to know.

I'm mostly into fiction for reading. I read non fiction, but it feels like text books for my Self, so I tend to internalize the important stuff and then forget where I got it from.
Joan Slonczewski- Door Into Ocean and Brain Plague.
Soul Music, Nightwatch, Monstrous Regiment, Going Postal, Snuff- Terry Pratchett
Stranger in a Strange Land- Heinlein. I'm kind of afraid to go back and read it, since I haven't read it since before I learned feminism 101.
Ender's Game series (including both Ender and Bean), Songmaster- Orson Scott Card. His new stuff is increasingly awful (sexist/homophobic/etc), but Ender's game still feels really beautiful and true to me. Also, OSC's writing craft is incredible.
Wrinkle in Time series- Madeleine L'Engle
Otherland series- Tad Williams
Mage: The Ascension

Cloud Atlas. Oh my godde watch it right now.
Dark City, most Pixar(especially Wall-E), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Minority Report, The Dark Crystal, V For Vendetta, Clerks, An American Tail, The Iron Giant, Stardust, The Last Mimzy, Children Of Men.
Inception is a special case, because it could have been /so much/ better by not being an action movie, but the music is so well thought out and beautifully layered that I still really enjoy it after several watchings.

When I'm listening, I like almost anything that doesn't like violence against my ears. (read: most angry rap, death metal)
here's a few things I especially enjoy.
Caravan Palace, Muse, Lindsey Stirling, Suzanne Vega, The Decemberists, Regina Spektor, My Chemical Romance, They Might be Giants, Dashboard Confesional, Hada to Hada, Simon and Garfunkel, Radiohead, Lili Haydn, Jump Little Children, My Brightest Diamond, Daft Punk.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. sunlight
2. nature
3. walks and explorations
5. friends I love
4. flow
6. no pressure
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
intersectional feminism, rationality, video games (right now that's Crypt of the Necrodancer), board games, love, sex, magic, math, education, Lindsey Stirling, nursing school...

Lots more things! But those things are what's on my mind right now.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
on an adventure to faraway, or sleeping off the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Intentional community is the image at the center of my dreams.
