Oh the self-summary. I mean I have read some really great summaries on this site. Some people are really good at dissecting themselves and fitting the pieces into these little boxes. For some reason it just seems so forced to me. Maybe I am taking this to seriously. Yeah probably. So let's lighten things up then shall we?

People like me. Go figure. I am my own worst critic so it still always comes as a surprise. People seem to really enjoy it when I smile. No not just my mother...jeez. Maybe it's just the contrast. I can come off pretty intense and serious sometimes. But I get the most pleasure out of making people laugh which is something that I excel at.

I do Visual Merchandising for a big California based tech company that you are definitely familiar with. It rhymes with schmapple. It is a demanding job but it is a lot of fun and I work with some amazing and talented people.

I do hope to be able to find time to do more traveling which is something I love and something I haven't done in a while.

I am also trying to refocus on my musical interests in djing and music production. It used to be a bigger part of my life and I have recently been inspired to get back into it. I also need to start yoga before I become to stiff to leave the house.

Discussion. I like talking with people who like to talk about things. I often enjoy intense verbal engagement. I also like being quiet sometimes to so don't worry, I won't talk your ear off. I am a great listener.

Not sure otherwise. I know I am good at a lot of things but they are of the intangible non marketable variety. Oh yeah, making people laugh. I excel at that so prepare yourself.

I really enjoy making to-do lists but listing my interests is a really big job. The following is a snapshot. In general my favorite media are film and music followed by the written word. I enjoy anything that makes me laugh, think, and feel. Well not anything.

Bottom line I love film but I haven't been in the mode of watching movies lately. I would love to find a new movie partner.

Music: I definitely do not have the patience to list all of my musical interests here. My interests vary but I am not one of those "I like everything" people. My interests include Rock, Metal, Jazz, West African, Techno. So much in between.

Books: My list of "to read" is forever ever longer than my "read." Cormack McCarthy, Haruki Murakami, Culture Jam, Clive Barker, William Gibson, Michael Pollan. God there is so much. Fiction and non. Lets just talk about it.

TV: I don't have TV but there are a few shows that I have seen that I do enjoy. Breaking Bad, Lost, Six Feet Under, Dexter, 30 Rock, Twin Peaks, Daily Show, Archer, Arrested Development, No Reservations.

I'm also big into stand-up comedy. I want to start going to some comedy clubs. Laughter is the only thing that is going to save me.

FOOD: I love it. I really enjoy eating new things and will try anything once. Almost anything. Not sure about bugs. Most recently I tried my first 100 year old egg. It was also my last 100 year old egg but it was fun to try. Balut is next on my list. I gravitate towards Asian food and could probably eat nothing but Japanese for the rest of my life and be completely fine.

To be honest, food and sex and why I have let my bike collect as much dust as it has. But that is no indication that I don't have a lot more going on. I think about a lot of stuff. Feel free to ask for a sample sometime.

There is nothing typical about Friday nights for me. Most times I work late so Saturday is my more active weekend night. My schedule changes often so everyday presents different things. Regardless of the day I tend to do what I am compelled to do. Sometimes meeting/drinking with friends, going to see a favorite dj, trying to find the best food in this amazing city, or laying on the couch filling out my online dating profile. Oh yeah it is Friday isn't it.

I have tattoos all over my body...in my mind.

You want to. I love getting messages. Who doesn't? This section on OKC always seems to give that "if you don't fit into this criteria you will never hear from me" section. That is not the way I operate. I really think that these profiles are just a snapshot. It's the chemistry that develops in person that matters most.

But it would be cool if you were into exploring NYC by bike, discovering new food or joining me on my search for the best cup of coffee.
