My self-summary
Life should be a mix of levity and honesty, with a dash of chutzpah to get things rolling.
What I’m doing with my life
Isn't this the million dollar question. Well, I've covered the Virginia Woolf necessities. A quiet place to call my own? Check. An emotionally and intellectually fulfilling job? Check.

My newest hobby is creating a font face. I mean that quite literally. I've started a project where every month I'll shave a new letter into my beard. I expect this to take about 18 months, so chances are I'll be sporting a little scruff, if not a letter, when we meet. (26 letters, 18 months? curious, no?)

I like going to dance clubs where dancing is the primary function, not exploring a meat market, so you probably won't see me in the meatpacking district. I got tired of feeling lost with a Latin rhythm so I started up salsa lessons. I'm just a beginner so set low expectations for the time being. Salsa isn't my first social dancing rodeo. I took swing for over a year, though I needed to stop for awhile when I found myself only dancing in 6.

I discovered the joys of traveling alone this summer. I was scared at first, not unlike the first time I learned to cross a busy street or ride a train to choir practice, but the hostel bar is the easiest place to start conversations which inevitably lead to wandering through Paris in search of its soul. I'm dying to explore Spain next - Gaudi's Basilica is one of the few items on my bucket list.

Traveling abroad makes me want to rediscover NYC - hunt for hidden art galleries, taste its best Bloody Mary's (so far Buttermilk Channel is winning), meditate over its many rooftop vistas, and dance the evening away to its best rhythms.
I’m really good at
- being myself, despite peer pressure.
- succinct expression.
- writing incessantly when i'm nervous or don't know you well enough to find comfortable silence enjoyable.
The first things people usually notice about me
Depends how we meet. Realistically, most people hear me before they see me. I have one of those booming laughs that brightens an office and angers a late night subway car. On the off chance you're deaf or I'm feeling mute, my facial topiary.
The six things I could never do without
I've gone without almost everything at one point or another. I'm adaptive; I'll survive.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Honesty and genuine human interaction, especially in light of America's over-reliance on the internet and social media. Fundamental laws that build up the essence of a good society to escape moral relativism. What color shoes I should buy next. Why it feels like everyone just rediscovered Strunk and White and decided the Oxford comma should be a religious war.
On a typical Friday night I am
an exercise in chaos theory, often starting with a whiskey happy hour and seeing where the evening flows.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Even though I'm a Luddite, I love my Galaxy S4. Quite the conundrum. Also, I think board game night sounds like a great way to spend a Saturday.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–36
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
you work in the city and would love an excuse to traipse around until 2am. Cool little bistros you've always wanted to try? I'm down. Dance performance? Cool. Let's pick a direction and get lost together.
