My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love paradox - the place where two seemingly opposite things start to blur, that's where I'm most comfortable. I'm probably one of the silliest serious people you'll ever meet! I'm a bit brash, and I laugh loudly and as often as I can.

I was drawn here because Shanghai is a beautiful hybrid of old and new, peopled by a huge group from one culture and lots of little pockets of visitors. I'm looking for a way to make my time here meaningful.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
New things! There are so many possibilities.

I do know that I'm looking for stories - my passion is building a narrative and then finding the best way to communicate it. Travelling has something to do with that, and working in media too.

Also, teaching; I spend my days molding young minds/trying not to let children destroy my sanity.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Remembering names and faces, making snarky jokes, taking care of people, landing gracefully when I stumble (which is often), editing, trivia, and cooing like a pigeon.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I ask a lot of questions. I used to host a radio program, so I slip into interview mode pretty easily.

Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

The future, social politics, my inner monologue.

Shanghai makes me feel very American but I'm not sure how I feel about that.
