I'm a lover of movies, literature, music, travel, playing sports, all things artistic or sensual, and good food. Take any of those away and I will be out of balance ...and likely miserable.

Still curious? ....well, I'm 36yo (feel 25) and I love life! I am passionate about so many things. I am athletic, intelligent, compassionate, affectionate, quirky, worldly, and an animal lover. Gentle natured and easy going, there is a lot of depth to who I am. I'd like to think that I am very well adjusted and mature. I refuse to take myself too serious, but am sincere and genuine in everything I do. Cheese fanatic, horrible speller, loves the adventure of romance, finds frogs funny and clowns disturbing. While the occasional solitude is needed from time-to-time to keep my sanity, I'm actually very big on quality time with someone special. More about me: very interested in the world cultures and travel, have very diverse tastes and interests, passionate about learning, love meeting people from all over the world. Some of the things I like to do... playing ANY sport (sand/indoor volleyball especially though), watching movies, reading, listening to music, snow skiing, finding new great bands or artists, photography, weekend travel, reading, social events with friends, attending theatre/arts, reading, watching college football, storm chasing. Did I mention reading? So MANY passions in life and could carry on and on about them.

While I am looking for a long-term relationship, I am not looking for an "instant" relationship.

First of all, I'm enjoying life. Have a great career and have built a wonderfullife ful. I work hard, I play hard, and I relax hard. Hopefully I can find someone to really enjoy that last two with. I jump on any chance to travel and see the world. I'm out to make life a little moreflavorful evey year. In my free time I love playing sports (tennis, volleyball, soccer, basketball, golf), catching movies, time with friends, trying new foods, planning my next trip.

Listening and understanding. Playing sports, just about any kind of sport. Very important to me: creating quality time with someone special. Driving through Europe in a stress-free and adventurous mode. :) Dangling prepositions at the end of a sentance and misspelling words - I call it literary license. Very good at eating, especially sushi :) For some reason growing plants is very easy for me. Take pride in... exploring sensuality and flavors of life, building a "home", and making lemonade from lemons. And apparently I am just wonderful at not being up on the "who-broke-off-with-who" and thus saying the absolute wrong thing infront of a group - lol

So I've been told a few times, in a variety of ways... My strong but gentle nature. I'm easy to be comfortable with and relax with.

Movies: lots of variety here! Love to get away from the mainstream and see foreign, art, and indie films. Food: a passion! Love experiencing multicultural foods and trying new restuarants.

Music: There is very little music I do not like! I have a large collection and love to be introduced to new music of all kinds! Books: I love to read but don't always have the chance to read as much as I would like to. I am very introspective and a thinker by default; any and everything, really.

When not on the deep subjects, travel has to be near the top of the list. Thinking, dreaming, and planning my next trip. My vacations usually fit in one of three categories: 1) few weeks in Europe 2) sensual tropical escape 3) snow-skiing trip to the mountains.

Relaxing and spending time with friends! sometimes catching a movie. Can even catch me at Barnes and Noble occasionally. Usually though... I'm out celebrating the start of a weekend with friends over a happy hour or someone's birthday.

...that I actually enjoy the opera. I'm not ashamed, and it is not that private... but some people behave like I should be ashamed when I admit that. I'm not a fanatic, but I usually try to go about once a year.

I'm actually really interested in meeting a good match and won't accept anything but a good match. I eventually want to build a life full of family and friends with someone special. Dating can be anywhere between misreable and outright fun, but I am most interested in finding someone who is a good match.

You should REALLY message me if... 1) If you are love international travel (or at least crave it)! 2) You like pets and are not allergic to a cat. 3) Can tollerate a foreign language film from time-to-time.

Bonus points, but not necessary if... You like college football. You like snow skiing. You like weeked trips to different cities for fun and adventure. You like to play tennis or volleyball. Camping in wilderness or mountains is appealing. You'll try exotic cheeses and foods with me :) You like photography and will go on some photographic adventures with me. Idea of going to symphony or opera is a romantic one.
