Travel is very important to me. I've been to 14 countries and hope
to see many more. I especially like to visit countries with
viewable archaeological sites and museums. It's just amazing to
think of people living in these radically different cultures and
expressing themselves through the art that they've left for us.
Things like the antikythera device blow my mind.
I'm very excited about life. I'm a bit jaded in some ways but the forthcoming collapse of Western civilization is no reason not to have fun. It's not like we're chained to a sofa and being forced to watch the news. I like to go to unusual places and meet people with unique experiences. For example I'd love to go to say Libya and talk to people about their experiences. Too bad I don't know any Arabic I guess. Hopefully I'll have money to do this kind of thing soon, so really all that's missing for me is someone to share it with.
I love dogs, and training them. My wheaten terrier can sing. I'm very allergic to cats.
I love the outdoors, hiking, and trying to reach places off the beaten path. It's amazing what you'll find in the woods.
I like people who are passionate about music and introduce me to what they like, but I generally don't seek it out myself. I'm more of an NPR/talk radio person I guess. When I do listen to music on my own I'll probably turn on WQED and listen to whatever they have going on. On the other hand I really get my jam on from popular music from 1997. No idea.
My politics are all over the place, ask me if that's something you like to talk about. I've probably given your issue some thought.
I can sing really well, although I can't read music anymore. A music professor relative of mine told me I have perfect pitch. Oh yeah and I can sing the Ode to Joy from Beethoven's 9th.
I'm the kind of person who tries to understand where the other person is coming from even if what they're saying seemingly doesn't make sense. It's a good skill since most people are terrible at verbalizing their position.
