My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm sarcastic.
Still looking for a joke that I thought went "too far".
Pop-culture junkie (TV and movies. I've ceded music to others)
Neurotic, but in an endearing way.
I say these all as good things. If you aren't reading them that way, that's a shame.

This self-summary section is a little too free-form for my liking, so read below if you care to know more and with a little more direction.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in IT. I wish I could say it's more interesting than it is. It's low impact work that pays well and that'll do for now.
I've lived in Louisville all my life except for college. I'm looking to get out one of these days but at the same time, I like it enough to be in no hurry.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The word "witty" has been used about me before. I pull away from that because it encourages me to try too hard and tell a lot of bad jokes (but that doesn't stop me from doing so).
I'm good at lists and organizing, which may sound boring to you but I find it fascinating.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I don't know. I have the basic Anglo-Saxon look. Look, I have pictures. They aren't hiding anything. What you notice in those is what you'd notice in person.
Personality-wise, maybe my sense of humor or that once you get me on a topic in my wheelhouse, it's hard to get me to stop talking.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I'll try to stop myself from listing too much.

Books - I'll admit. I don't read many books. The past few I've read have been about TV shows, networks, or personalities which probably shouldn't count. I'll get more regimented one of these days. I have enjoyed Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Count of Monte Cristo, and some Orwell though.

Movies: There's a lot. I think my top 5 has to be Stranger Than Fiction, Superbad, Ocean's Eleven, A Knight's Tale, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Others I like include, Bridemaids, I Love You Man, About Time, The Dark Knight, Star Wars, Inception, Warrior, and so many others.

TV Show - (Current) Mad Men, The Middle, Parks & Rec, Louie, Brooklyn Nine Nine, The Walking Dead, The Americans, The Big Bang Theory, Archer, SNL, Hannibal, Agents of SHIELD, Fargo, The Mindy Project, Parenthood, Shameless, It's Always Sunny, Game of Thrones, True Detective, Girls
(Past Favorites) 30 Rock, Community, Malcolm in the Middle, Cheers, Frasier, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad, and many others I feel bad for not listing.

Music: Let's face it, there's a lot of music out there and the chances of overlap are low. My favorites are Carbon Leaf, James, Gaelic Storm, and I've been on a big Kelly Clarkson kick for most of 2014.

Food: I eat more Qdoba than I probably should. I love hot foods (if you know anywhere with good wings, I want that knowledge). I'm not very adventurous about my food but that has more to do about motivation to find it than desire to try.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Until this question adds some parameters, I refuse to answer. One of them would be "something to laugh about" though. There. You get one.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
...a lot of things. I'm known for always having a notepad on me. Most of what I write down are jokes or funny observation.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Bars, friends' houses, seeing a movie. It depends. I guess a typical Friday night involves the realization that I haven't setup anything to do all week, then scrambling to see what people are up to.
I've been trying to go to more comedy shows and I do weekly trivia at a bar with friends religiously. Neither tend to be Fridays, but I'm reading this section as "What are your hobbies outside of work", so that's how I'm answering it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a running tally of all the movies and TV shows I've ever seen. I told you I like lists.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over. want to. I know it's tough coming up with that introductory message and all, but it bums me out when I get messages that only say "Hey, how are you?". It'd be way more fun if you started going on about some random topic even tangentially related to my profile or, hell, give me a riddle. I won't get it right, but it'll yield a way more interesting response than some generic message.
Oh, or point out a grammar mistakes in my profile. I hate those almost as much as proofreading my work.
