I'm originally from the midwest and I've been in Seattle for a couple of years now. I can honestly say that Seattle feels like home and that I wish that I would have moved here long ago.

I work in tech, and I am really proud of what I do for a living. I'm fortunate to do what I love for a living, and my passions happen to pay the bills. I realize that not everyone is this fortunate, but I click best with people who are passionate about something in their life.

I'm pretty career motivated, but I think that humans work best when they have variety in their life so I maintain a healthy music addiction in concert with your normal geek interests. I'm really looking for someone who is exciting and comfortable at the same time. Is that you?

Really what I'm doing with my life is following a trail of things that interest me. I've been lucky enough that following that trail has resulted in employment, and that is pretty cool. There probably isn't a day that goes by that I don't re-assess what my end game is, but I'd have to say that my end game boils down to being independent in life and staying engaged in the pursuit of interesting things.

Right now interesting things boils down to technology related subjects, but I don't know that it will forever. Life is too short and there is far too much out there to believe that you'll ever have it all figured out; so why not embrace that?

It's probably the prehensile tail and horn. I'm also told that I have a nice smile? My money is on the horn though.

I'm told that I'm funny and intelligent but I'm not sure that this isn't a really complex scam.

I had a wall of text here, but to be honest it is just too hard to list anything that is going to remain relevant for very long.

Life requires a sound track and music is a huge part of my life. It helps me to relax, get motivated, and provides an emotional outlet. I have eclectic tastes and when I discovered KEXP it was like finding a long lost sibling. I enjoy soul, hip hop, electronic, pop, singer/songwriters with stories to tell, rock, and whatever else fits with my mood or helps me maintain peace for a given day.

I usually have a couple of books in progress at any given time. Right now I'm reading snow crash on the fiction side (geek list of shame), and I pretty much always have a non-fiction technical title or two that I'm working through. I'll stop wanting to learn new things when I'm dead.

TV is an delicious pulp fiction escape mechanism. The walking dead is high on my list (TV /and/ the comic series), homeland is some really great drama, and how I met your mother is hilarious and sweet.

Am I doing it right? Am I missing something? Should I miss this thing to be doing another thing? How does this work? Why would you do it this way when that seems stupid? Why are you staring at me like that?

Maybe catching a band, maybe drinking a beer, maybe just relaxing from a long week with better intentions for Saturday.
