I had a wall of text here, but to be honest it is just too hard to
list anything that is going to remain relevant for very long.
Life requires a sound track and music is a huge part of my life. It
helps me to relax, get motivated, and provides an emotional outlet.
I have eclectic tastes and when I discovered KEXP it was like
finding a long lost sibling. I like most genres and go for what
fits with my mood or helps me maintain peace for a given day. Right
now my mood says to listen to Jamie Woon's MIRRORWRITING album
because it is the kind of somber introspective thing I want.
Tomorrow I may turn to Alice Russel's latest for groove.
I usually have a couple of books in progress at any given time.
Right now I'm reading "Rock, Paper, Scissors: Game Theory in
Everyday Life" which is really about human interactions and how
game theory is at play in our day to day lives. I'll stop wanting
to learn new things when I'm dead. I read fiction too, and my most
recent favorite is probably Juliet, Naked by Nick Hornby. I don't
read as much as I would like to.
TV is a pulp fiction based escape mechanism. Game of Thrones,
Walking dead, How I Met Your Mother, Homeland, Dr. Who, etc.
