I am honest, optimistic, and sarcastic.
My Self-Summary
I'm a fairly normal guy just looking for someone to share some time
and laughs with. I enjoy movies, concerts, cooking, hiking,
camping, reading, hockey, (friendly) debates about
politics/religion/science/whatever, popcorn, snowboarding,
microbrews, board games and laughing.
Also, I'm apparently unable to appear in a picture unless I have
sunglasses on top of my head.
What I’m doing with my life
Living it one day at a time.
For money I build websites, currently on a freelance basis. I'm
also working on a startup that hopefully will let me buy an island
at some point. Or, failing that, that will at least remain a fun
way to pay the bills.
For fun and exercise I play roller hockey. I'm also in a bowling
league, which is something I got into as an IM sport in college and
have just kept doing because it's still fun.
I’m really good at
Injuring myself playing silly sports. So far I've pulled a quad
playing kickball and a hamstring playing ultimate frisbee. Some
friends were talking about playing inner tube water polo, but I'm
scared about what might happen to me if I try it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't really know. I've know myself for quite awhile, so I can't
remember what I noticed first.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books/Authors - Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Stephen King, Kurt
Vonnegut, Bill Bryson, Jon Krakauer, some sci-fi, various
outdoors/adventure nonfiction stuff, random science topics.
Movies - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Big Lebowski,
Momento, Groundhog Day, Kill Bill (both), Lost in Translation.
Recently I really liked The Wrestler and The Dark Knight (ok, these
aren't really recent anymore, but I haven't seen anything great
more recently than these, so I'll keep 'em in here). I'm willing to
see just about anything.
Music - For San Diegans, the easiest way to describe my taste is
94.9. I like Pearl Jam, The Hold Steady, The Decemberists, Death
Cab for Cutie, The Shins, Wilco, Spoon, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, REM,
etc....
The six things I could never do without
My laptop

What to have for lunch.
