My self-summary
I'm a laid-back, genuinely sweet, affectionate guy who appreciates simplicity.

I'm passionate about music. I play in bands of all types and it's a form of spiritual and emotional expression for me.

I rarely dominate conversation, but I have a lot to share and am a great listener. While I value sincerity, my sense of humor can sometimes tend towards the absurd. And I have a pretty ridiculous uninhibited laugh, but you might have to unleash it.

Even though I love the energy of the city, I appreciate stillness and silence and the outdoors (I'm from Maine, it's in the blood). Pursuing the beautiful things in life is what interests me most.

My views definitely tend toward the left, and I try to be engaged with issues of social & economic justice when i can. But I'd like to be more actively involved than I am right now.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to play music that hopefully moves people in some way, and trying to just be an empathetic, compassionate and generous human being overall.

I'm passionately committed to the musical experiences that fulfill my creative side, but yeah, I pay some of the bills with a part-time day job.
I’m really good at
Listening, finding humor in odd places, playing the saxophone.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my height. Maybe my eyes, which seem to contain a lot of different colors. Also, people say they're calmer when they're around me. And according to some my laugh is unique and kind of charming.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
The inadequacy of words to convey most things. Ideas for comedy sketches / short films that may or may not ever get made.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out at a show or performing...or watching movies, or at a neighborhood bar. Maybe at a house concert / pot luck / the awesome indian or tibetan joints in my neighborhood.
