I was an awkward geeky kid *years* before it became the cool thing to be. That makes me a trend setter.

I like to travel, but when I'm home I'm usually not great at exploring. I'm just about the worst person in the world at coming up with exciting things to do in New York City.

I once had a nightmare where I was being slowly lowered into a pool full of giant cuttlefish. Now I'm a little afraid of aquariums, but in the kind of way that makes me really want to go to them.

I think it'd be swell to act in a children's TV show when I grow up.

I work in community management, and really like my job and the people I work with.

When I'm not working I'm usually powering through three to four years worth of shows like Battlestar Galactica, Mad Men, Dexter or Doctor Who, or reading. I can do a Tuesday crossword with only minimal assistance from my iPhone.

I listen to podcasts on the train instead of music, so that I have interesting things to talk about. Favorites include This American Life, Radiolab, Stuff You Should Know and Fresh Air. Ask me about the coolest thing I've learned this week.

I'm also trying to teach myself Mandarin, which I've just learned is apparently the new "it" language to learn. I'm mostly just tired of having to say no when people ask me if I speak it (I went to high school in Hong Kong).

Sarcasm. If you aren't very good at recognizing it, you and I will probably not be very good friends.

Walking faster than everybody else I know.

Playing the theremin. No, that's a lie. I don't own a theremin. Yet.

UPDATE: I now own a theremin! And will eventually know how to play it.

No but seriously. I'm not filling this question out. Every time I do I always feel unsatisfied with my answer.

I dream about tripping children who wear shoes with wheels in them. If one ever ran into me, you'd hear about it on the local news.

You know on the right side of my profile where it says "similar users?" All those guys look like tools. It makes me wonder if I'm really a tool. I hope I'm not.
