I hate these kinda self descriptions and much prefer people just make up their own minds about me, however thats not much use if we havent met yet! So...

I live in Exeter in a house that I jointly own and I have spent a lot of time over the past two years rennovating it. It would seem im quite handy and it was good fun. I let a few rooms out to friends and co-habit with my two cats.

I work in the Web software industry and have a passion for writing software, but its not all fun! Im not really a geek, but I am quite switched on!

My passion however is Snowboarding, I help out at the Ski Club in Torquay and am a qualified Snowboarding instructor. I try and get as many Winter holidays in each year as possible :-) But I also love chilling on a beach in the sun or going for a ramble round an old castle or ruins.

Otherwise im into -
# Music, all genres of music really, live music is always good, as is dancing away to house or drum and bass.
# Films, quite into older films at the moment. Old Sci-Fi films are the best, like Brazil or The Day the Earth Stood Still.
# Cooking, which I like to think im good at. Im a Vegetarian but not opposed to carnivores ;-) Quite into food and I like eating out.
# Finding new places - visiting places or going for walks. Even better if I get lost :-)
# Snowboarding of course...

I am currently learning German - its tough!

Just got back from a weeks Snowboarding Zillertal Austria and then a week in Tignes France. Plotting another week away in March hehe

Im starting up a company with some friends from Europe which I hope will enable me to quit my day job and work for myself, I can then be ultimately flexible about where I live and when I work :-)

Solving problems, organising and helping people; I like helping people and I seem to be quite good at helping people find solutions to problems.

I am also quite good at organising groups and events, loads of practice from trying to coordinate 20+ friends for meetups over the years and organising snowboarding holidays.

I really have no idea... er... I guess im quite tall, or maybe my messy hair! Sometimes my eyes can be pretty intense blue.

Books - well I tend to read pretty much anything, my favourite author is Terry Pratchett, but I have also been blown away by Brett Easton Ellis and enjoyed Hunter S. Thompson. Iain Banks is good. Currently reading Mr Philips by John Lancaster and liking it.

Music - everything pretty much apart from Country and Western. I have very varied taste, quite into my progressive post rock at the moment, e.g. 65 days of static, or at the other end of the spectrum The Roots Union or John Butler Trio. Also love a bit of emo - Taking Back Sunday.

Food - its gotta be Lasagne or Spaghetti Bolognaise. But I also cook a mean ass roast dinner.

The future and people.
I mean its a zoo out there, right? People can be strange and interesting. And the future is a pretty scary place, had plenty of apocalypse conversations over beers with friends, but I am an optimist and think the human race whilst ultimately tragic, probably has the strength to survive.
I do get a bit frustrated with people who dont recycle and turn things off, because they dont care about the future.

Usually out for some drinks with friends and maybe off to see a gig or DJ.

...Or maybe just chilling out and watching a film

Im quite an open person and willing to reveal pretty much anything, however I would rather do it in face to face...

I once sat on a bag of knitting by accident and then had to have a crochet hook surgically removed from my ass cheek. Everyone I knew found this absolutely hilarious.

If I sound interesting at all, maybe just as a friend or maybe more...

Im quite romantic and chivalrous, but im also pretty modern and can coook and clean and all that too ;-). I like to have fun and try new things, im quite impulsive and dont really like to plan things too much.

er or maybe im a bit of a mix - I like going out and being adventurous and am quite an outgoing and social person, but I also like to relax and have quiet time when im at home.
