My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So, I'm rewriting this profile since it's about a year old and I've grown as a person since then.
It sure seems like most of the people on this site are either finishing school or just settling into their "big girl jobs" as they put it, But I've never felt like I was going down the same path as most people my age. I'm extremely driven and goal oriented, but what drives me, also seems to isolate me just a bit. It's hard going down a path that fewer people around me understand or are brave enough to try, but if one is to build the world he/she wants to see, then its going to be a little more difficult.
I'm not much on bragging, boasting, or even talking about myself to strangers since listening to other people is more interesting to me. Having said that, The world I want to live in is a more open and honest one. And, I'm hoping that If I share a glimpse of exactly who I am, maybe I'll be lucky enough to have these words reach someone who will connect with them, so I'm going to put who I am out there- Here it goes in stream of consciousness format:

I'm Heath, a human living 93 million miles from the sun (what is that in kilometers? I wish america used metric...) who has a wonderful and curious view of the world. In the past year, I've become more sure of myself and yet full of more questions than one could ever imagine! I have a fondness for environmentalism, permaculture, biomimicry, biology, chemistry, Food and it's limitless combinations!, physics, feminism, the universe, motorcycles, water in all three of its basic states, the mind, MUSIC (I'm a musician), Acting, modeling, photography, moving through space at incredible speeds, exploring, walking trails, climbing (rocks, trees, anything), growing plants, pondering, making youtube videos, enjoying cannabis (I'd love to find someone who does as well, but not a big deal), watching documentaries, pretending to be someone else for fun, pushing the boundaries of human potential and trying something that I'll quite possibly fail at just to see if I can do it, and so much more! ( I don't want to bore you with a never ending list haha)
Basically I'm in love with the world around me and I'd really like to find more people (friends or otherwise) to enjoy it with. I love meeting people who are better than me at something or many somethings, It's the best kind of challenge for me!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm in a bit of a transitional point in my life, bridging where/who I am with where/who I want to be. As far as work, I'm an Actor, Model, Musician, Permaculture consultant, YouTube vlogger, and I'm preparing to start a business as well.
I'm trying to take my free time and make it count as well, usually by learning something. We live in an extraordinary time where we have the ability to connect people on the largest scale imaginable (internet), we can move very quickly compared to how fast are bodies are inherently able to, as if speeding through time (cars, planes, trains, etc..) and because of all that, I am constantly amazed at life. Not to mention the fact that other people who came before us took the painstaking time to figure out so many things about the earth, life, and the universe, allowing me the ability to now look it up on my phone. THAT is more miraculous to me than any story about some guy allegedly walking on water.
I'm the first to admit that I benefit SO much from privilege. It frustrates the hell out of me, that because I was born a straight white male in a middle class(or at least close to middle class) america, I should get so much opportunity and free things. I didn't choose or work for those attributes so it seems ridiculous to me.
But i'm determined to turn it into a positive and take all of the benefits I receive in life and put that energy into things that are important to me, like other people.
Long story short, I want to use my life to give something back to current and future generations of humanity in exchange for all the energy that went into making my life so amazing by previous generations.
This is why I want to spend my life working to both enjoy everything I can mentally, emotionally, and physically, as well as helping everyone have the knowledge and ability to take care of their basic needs- Food, Water, Shelter. That way, they can spend their lives doing what they want instead of just surviving. I feel that if we can just get to that point, then solving the rest of the worlds problems will get a whole lot easier. No scarcity of basic needs = more time to relax, de-stress, and start tackling larger issues (ideally in the most enjoyable way possible for all parties involved.
I plan on using techniques like bio-mimicry and permaculture as well as good business sense to achieve this goal and start turning problems into solutions that work for everyone.

If you have any questions about further details on this or want to help, I'm an open book and happy to talk about it! just send me a message :-)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Asking questions. I'm constantly curious about the world around me and never afraid to (tactfully) ask someone why they are or why something else is.
Also, Perspective. If you are feeling down about something, I can probably help you put it in a different light which will hopefully cheer you up!

Also- Problem solving. I love puzzles, problems, and Fixing things.*
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Would be that I'm not what I appear to be. I think people tend to have prejudice (to pre-judge) based on appearances, but I'm a complex and fun loving person who just wants to enjoy life and all that it has to offer. No more, no less.
Unfortunately, as much as I really want to go sit in a hammock, I just can't do it knowing that everything about my quality of life was built on the backs of other people around the globe. So, I feel compelled to do something about it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I find books and language to be a wonderful form of telepathy in a way. Having said that having the drive to sit down with a book has always been a bit of a challenge, so I tend to substitute with books on tape (multi-tasking) or various other ways of getting information (podcasts, npr, blogs, etc..)
Having said that, I love books by Tim Ferris and I've been wanting to read the book Zealot by Reza Aslan.

Movies: - There are many, so many. But lately I've been really into documentaries. Recent faves are (on netflix) - Kumare, Gasland, Cave of forgotten dreams, and as for movie movies I really enjoyed Perks of being a wallflower, and the Kroods.

Shows - I've really gotten into shows that are on Youtube like CrashCourse as well as the usual network shows (smash, the newsroom, etc..) even some anime lately. Mostly I watch TedTalks and Documentaries though.
Oh and DOCTOR WHO is amazing. Fact.

Music -As a musician, I've been able to develop an appreciation for almost any type of music. Anything from popular music to interesting jazz and latin grooves and even this amazing mix of Flemenco guitar and middle eastern chanting. I can listen to almost any genre (save for screamo, I just cant listen to someone destroying they're vocal chords) But i'm a little particular on whether the music is bland or not. Just do something interesting or have a good beat I can move to and I'm in!

Food -I love to cook so I'll try just about anything. However, If you really want to win me over, I love Indian food!
I'm really happy to have a friend who is a chef who can teach me how to make just about anything!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
anything and everything. I contemplate things like quantum mechanics, why kitten videos on youtube are funny, or whether or not a dog having or not having a tail would affect his happiness.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
This is difficult to pin down for me, I don't have a consistent work schedule so my "weekend" is whenever I want it to be. Having said that, when not working I can usually be found watching movies, going out, Learning something, or any other number of fun activities.

I'm always planning, learning, and growing so it would be wonderful if you wanted to live life like a wonderful adventure with me!

Basically, I just want to meet new people and have fun. If something more happens then that's fantastic, but we'll never know if we don't try right?
I know that women on this site get an obscene amount of messages a day so I understand if you don't bother messaging people first, but If you feel that we may have a great connection, I hope you'll take a bold chance and go for it. In return, I'll try my best to do the same! :-)
If not, have a wonderful day and thanks for reading this far!
