My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Part time karaoke singer and thesis writer.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm about to submit my dissertation and now I'm a bit nervous about what the future holds. I guess I will need to start looking for a job, karaoke singing doesn't seem to pay the bills.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Ok so maybe this sounds incredibly cheesy but I am good at making people laugh, really I'm quite serious. I'd like to think people are laughing with me but I have a feeling they are laughing at me. Now this feeling may Stem from just one too many bike accidents that have led to concussions. I kid of course. I have had several bike accidents but not too many concussions!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My unruly curly hair that my cat attacks when I'm sitting down and my collection of striped and polka dot shirts. I have a penchant for knitted hats and i seem to be adding a new one to my collection every week or so.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Favorite books is a hard one but the list would have to include Jude the Obscure (Hardy) and anything by the Bronte sisters. Can't really pinpoint why I enjoy the Bronte sisters since I am not much of a romantic but I've read all of their works so I guess they should be included.
Favorite movies: Anything by PT Anderson, Terrence Malick and Cronenberg (Even the early stuff).
Music: really anything goes but maybe not country unless we are talking about Cash and Nelson.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-podcasts that include radio lab, savage love and this American life
-And i thought I would add internet memes. First World Problems has to be my favorite
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I tend to procrastinate so instead of writing I look up recipes online and solicit possible destinations for friday nights out in Montreal. At the moment I am compiling a list of the best dive bars in Montreal so any suggestions are always welcome!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends and possibly singing at a karaoke bar.
