My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Playful, dorky, intense, silly, professional, fun, are a few words that describe me. I would say that I'm a walking contradiction but that's horribly cliche, so instead I'll just say that I have dissociative identity disorder. Much better, right? Physically, I'm on the larger side. I'm 6'5" and weigh around 220. Better watch your mouth or I'll sit on you.

I'm a pretty independent person. My family lives out of state and I've been living in CA for about seven years now. I don't need much to stay entertained and happy. I'm open-minded. I enjoy critical thinking and discussions on the profound to the profane. While I wouldn't consider myself "sporty," I do like to work out and won't be left wheezing on the hiking trail. I'm an honest person and try to live with integrity. I'm confident and driven. I hate to leave a job half-done. I'm generally pretty positive and resilient; I try not to let bad things keep me down for long. I'm also probably the tallest guy you'll know who likes to do yoga; if I'm ever able to pull off a crane-to-handstand, I'll quit my job and join the circus.

I'm looking for someone who is silly and fun, but who also can have an intelligent conversation from time to time. I like people who choose to see the humor in things...even tragedies. If you describe yourself as someone who "gets bored easily," then (a) we might not be a match and (b) they've got apps for that. Being into health and fitness is a plus because then we'll keep each other alive longer, and as long as we enjoy each other's company, that's probably a good thing.

Oh and lately I've developed an interest in science and technology, so chances are I may geek out at times and tell you all about a robotic arm/hand that people can control with their brain, or some cool new way to create renewable energy. Or if you're vegan/vegetarian, we can talk about that lab-grown meat they're trying to develop. Ah crap, I'm geeking out already. You've been warned!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Suing people, arguing with other lawyers, asking people questions, writing angry letters, and futilely trying to keep my desk clean.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening. Giving [solicited] advice. Critical analysis. Throwing a frisbee. Being tall. Detecting BS.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height. "Wow, you're tall" is probably the phrase I hear most often. Usually followed closely by, "Do you play basketball?" Answer: poorly.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Lately I've been reading history, philosophy, and psychology books.

I like all kinds of movies but tend to favor comedies.

Lately I've been watching The Walking Dead and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Netflix. Usually I stick with my comedies.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Literally:

1. Food
2. Water
3. Shelter
4. Clothing
5. Fuel

Okay, that's only five, but that's the bare minimum. Now if this question is about what I really wouldn't want to live without...

1. Family
2. Friends
3. Technology
4. My vintage cap'n crunch t-shirt
5. Chewy runts
6. Air conditioning
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What the future will look like and whether we'll become a type 1 civilization before going extinct. Also I think a lot about energy production/sustainability. Weird, I know.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home, relaxing or working out, or out with friends

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You take care of yourself physically; you have a silly side; you're responsible; you're reliable; you enjoy comedy TV & movies
