I like random adventures: piloting a glide plane, surfing in Sydney, climbing a glacier in New Zealand, etc. I helped to break a meaningless Guinness World Record. I have a big soft spot for sweet (kind, helpful), sporty (keep in shape, perhaps compete(d), and smart (sharp, curious, creative) women.

Some interests: sailing, swimming (7 days a week - fitness is important to me - looking for same), art/culture, politics, making/fixing (my air conditioner comes to mind) things. I also have several old fashioned "hobbies" like collecting antique mechanical devices. My hand made t-shirts were included in the Emmy Awards presenter gift bags.

I'll defer to the local norms and list my occupation. Managing Director in investment strategy but I don't expect our relationship to have much to do with work (mine or yours).

I have shaggy hair and I speak well. I'm always thinking about something. I'm a casual dresser (I'll meet you in sneakers unless I come from work) and my own person. I might make you laugh seemingly unknowingly with some sarcasm. I have a 2/3 size ping pong table, dart board, and small trampoline in my apartment. I'm left handed.

The atmosphere dictates my taste in music. I've enjoy trance in a crowd, jazz in a basement, and classical at Carnegie Hall. I'm not really into rap or hip-hop or pop. I find a lot of "indie" music sounds like whining or the same. At home I tend to listen to trance or classic rock. Sometimes I add a few guitar riffs to the trance music to amuse myself (I play electric). Movies I like everything except childish/(toilet?) humor and absurd plots, from independent to blockbuster.

Why or how. Simple as that. Politics, science, technology, art, women. I'd like to learn to meditate.

Often going sailing for the weekend in the summer with the occasional trip to Fire Island or a local beach to relax. The rest of the year attending music, theater, dance or some event. I hold badminton and ping pong tournaments for friends and trying to set up water volleyball. Want to play?

I think I'm self-selecting. You know yourself better than I do, even if I wrote you. You are sweet, smart, and sporty (I admittedly repeated this for emphasis). Offbeat and/or 'nerdy' perhaps. I like women who are cute, which seems to offend women who wish to be sexy. But if you're attractive, you're attractive. Profiles that start "I'm a typical girl who likes hanging out." might as well read "I like watching paint dry" to someone like me. I'm a sucker for toned abs. ....if you're the type who cancels a lot on people, please cancel now. I can be intense, but also laid back.
