My self-summary
Like so many twenty-somethings on this site, I am a college/graduate student wanting to develop friendships and potential relationships, but without having to burn through my life-savings to do so. As with most of you, I am really sick of the underhanded tactics other sites have put me through and am ecstatic to the point of break-dancing for having discovered this site (No, I cannot really break-dance.).

On the other hand, there are certain aspects about me which stand out. I am a very supportive sibling and friend, so I will go out of my way to defend someone or save them from the brink of hopelessness. For example, I helped my younger brother get through his forensic investigations program and made sure he would graduate on-time. My best friend from college, who lives in Hilton, New York, has been working overtime in an admirable attempt to pay off his debt and to get into a reputable law school. The only way I can support him right now is to call frequently to make sure he is not contemplating giving up on his dream or worse.

I also have a quirky, sarcastic sense of humor. Lately, I have been criticized for being too verbose in my writing (Bring on the insults! I can take a beating :p) Here is my rebuttal. In college, I was friends with a bunch of self-declared grammar Nazis (Some were German descendants, but they were wonderful people overall.). I have no intention of resorting to, "Hooked on 1337 Speak," or Yinzerese to simplify my writing. Sure, there is always room for improvement, but you do not need to pull a, "Triumph the Insult Comic Dog," or a, "Chelsea Handler," to demean me.

Lastly, I am not into the whole clubbing, dive-bar scene. When the urge to listen to music arises, the Post-Gazette Pavilion and Thunderbirds are a couple of places I will consider. To stay active, I lift weights, run, and play sports with my friends at North Park or elsewhere. If I want to remain low key, I contact some of my friends to go out to eat, watch a movie, or collaborate on something random/diabolical.
What I’m doing with my life
Recently, I have graduated with a Master's degree in secondary education (December 15, 2011), but without a teaching certificate. On April 9, 2013, I started my new job as a surgical pathology technician, which is a welcome change from working two jobs in retail and finance.
I’m really good at
First, I am really good at playing classical and jazz piano, as I started young at around five years old.

For several years, I was taught the classical works of Mozart and Beethoven by an extremely cranky, conservative, but respectable nun. In high school, I made the transition from classical to jazz after meeting an aspiring jazz pianist named Rick Gallagher. He taught me how to play, "Misty," which was considered to be the pinnacle of my musical prowess. I've created some of my own music (e.g. Orchestra, percussion, piano, etc.) via MIDI computer software, but I am in need of cutting-edge software. Fruity Loops just does not cut it anymore.

Second, I am decent at tinkering with computer software, but only because no one else in my family bothers to learn how. Despite their recurrent computer illiteracy, I still love them anyway.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favorite foods: Pepperoni pizza, grilled salmon, Tandoori or mango curry chicken, and tiramisu.

Favorite Movies: Mrs. Doubtfire, Austin Powers Series, Back to the Future Series, The Avengers, State of Play, True Grit, Tropic Thunder, Superbad, and The Pest. Comedies are my favorite genre.

Favorite books: My favorite genres are fiction and non-fiction, but I only have time to read the newspaper or a random magazine nowadays. A few stand-outs are: Escape From Monkey Mountain, Waiting for Barbarians, and Heart of Darkness.

Favorite Music: Pop, jazz, and alternative/indie rock. Anything in the top 40 that is not auto-tuned or has heavy electronic synthesized instruments overpowering the vocals is fine by me. If you would like to discuss the state of the music industry, by all means, please message me.
The six things I could never do without
1.) The newspaper. I could never survive without knowing current events.
2.) Tropical fruit, such as pineapples and mangoes.
3.) My eyeglasses O_O. I feel like a bottle-nosed mole without them.
4.) My family, especially my mother and both sets of grandparents.
5.) Caffeine, as I am not a heavy sleeper. On a related note, I am not a big energy drink fan (No dialysis or diabetes for me thanks.).
6.) Sports. I live near Pittsburgh, so this is a given.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how my grandparents are doing, how to improve my work ethic, how to not suck at trivia, and God.
On a typical Friday night I am
listening to music at home or in town, watching a new movie, hanging out with friends, working out, or playing the piano out of boredom.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was involved in an action movie spoof. My acting and sparring skills were not on par with Chuck Norris, but I bet he cannot pull off a reverse enzeguri.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys

You should message me if
