On the other hand, there are certain aspects about me which stand out. I am a very supportive sibling and friend, so I will go out of my way to defend someone or save them from the brink of hopelessness. For example, I helped my younger brother get through his forensic investigations program and made sure he would graduate on-time. I am very proud of his professional accomplishments and hope he continues to exceed his expectations.
I also have a quirky, sarcastic sense of humor. For years, I have been criticized for being too verbose in my writing (Bring on the insults! I can take a beating :p) Here is my rebuttal. In college, I was friends with a bunch of self-declared grammar Nazis (Some were German descendants, but they were wonderful people overall.). I have no intention of resorting to, "Hooked on 1337 Speak," or Yinzerese to simplify my writing. Sure, there is always room for improvement, but you do not need to pull a, "Triumph the Insult Comic Dog," or a, "Chelsea Handler," to demean me.
Lastly, I am not into the whole clubbing, dive-bar scene. When the urge to listen to music arises, the Post-Gazette Pavilion and Thunderbirds are a couple of places I will consider. To stay active, I lift weights, run, and play sports with my friends at North Park or elsewhere. If I want to remain low key, I contact some of my friends to go out to eat, watch a movie, or collaborate on something random/diabolical.
