I recently removed the screen protector from my phone because I like to live dangerously. But I still use a case, 'cause let's not get crazy here!

I recently finished my Ph.D. at Berkeley, while working at Pixar Animation Studios. I'm now working at a startup in SF -- getting the chance to do practical work relevant to my research. Of course, I may also be gambling on my future, but I think it's worth the chance to fundamentally change the way people interact with computers.

What else? I have two eyes, a nose, and a mouth. Ten fingers and ten toes. I like to do the usual guy stuff -- watch sports, play video games, crack wise, wrestle wild bears. Domesticated bears aren't enough of a challenge. I'm very level-headed and enjoy spending time with close friends.

Developing hand-tracking technology to allow people to interact with computers in-the-air hand gestures -- trying to bring Iron Man tech to reality.

Or as I'd like to call it, things I like to do but my proficiency is up for debate.

Drawing - I doodle. A lot.
Sculpting - I sculpt. Sometimes.
Judo - I throw people. Onto mats.
Cooking - I make fried rice. And eat it.
Archery - I haven't accidentally shot anyone. Yet.

Alliterations.

I don't smile with my teeth. BUT I DO HAVE TEETH. I find them to be exceptionally useful for eating.

TV: Firefly, Parks and Recreation, Community, Justified, Adventure Time, New Girl, A Game of Thrones, BBC's Sherlock, Louie, Arrested Development, The Wire
