My self-summary
I just returned from a cruise to the Southern Caribbean. It was NOT fun, going as a single.

So, lets get right to the reason we're here. If you are looking for someone who is considerate, caring, shares, is easy going, passionate, fun loving, spontaneous, but generally has a plan, is open minded, is affectionate, has a good sense of humor, is kind, and enjoys just about everything, (well, maybe not shopping), then you may have met A Good Choice For You! Ask any of the several thousand members of my Meet Up Group, and they'll tell you that I'm really one of the "Good Ones". So, you're in luck, because all of the good ones are NOT taken.

Whether in a gondola in Venice, swimming off Paradise Beach in Mykonos, being amazed at the ruins in Rome, or, touring Hong Kong I love to travel. Seeing the culture of other lands has always been a turn on. Perhaps you might like to be my partner in crime in Monaco, on a trip to Italy or Greece. I might be the one who will try to beat you in a game of Scrabble, Backgammon, or build houses on my Monopoly properties.

My grandfather’s brother was a famed radiologist, and I was supposed to follow in his footsteps, but when the owner of a radio station heard my voice, he suggested I use it on air. So, I did get to ‘radio’, but never got to ‘ology!

DJ, radio news commentator, and the youngest owner of a radio station in the country followed by the acquisition of an advertising agency are just some of the careers I’ve had,

I spend some of my time, giving back. I organize social events for the better than 2100 members of my Meet-Up Group. We go to live music shows, theater events, potluck pool parties or, go cruises. Then there are some dinner/dances, trips to the movies and a night of bowling, or taking in a comedy show.

I’ve been on 70 cruises, so, you can see that I'm atravelinman. And can be found where cowboys yell. I prefer mystery and suspense books by authors like Ludlam, Cussler, Patterson, DeMille, and Baldacci.

For music, there is always the Beatles, Michael Buble’s ‘Haven’t Met You Yet’ (quite a fitting song for this site), Andrea Bocelli, and I really love music from ‘The Phantom’.

I’m a true romantic: After having broken off a long term relationship a couple of years ago, I was going on a second date with a woman who had grown up in Philadelphia. She told me she missed those delicious Pretzels that could only be found there. We had arranged to go out to dinner later that week, at a restaurant in Miami, which was a good 45 minute drive. So a couple of days before, I asked my sister, who still lives in Philly to overnight some fresh Pretzels to arrive right before I picked her up. As we were driving, she told me that she was hungry, so, I suggested she get the bag from the rear seat. When she saw that the Fed Ex Box was from Philly, and that there were several baggies filled with those large Philly pretzels, her expression was priceless.
What I’m doing with my life
I’m semi-retired so most of my time is spent in leisure but I do offer consulting services and creative solutions to advertisers and ad agencies who need it. When I’m not doing that I spend my time organizing social events for my Meet-Up groups, where we attend concerts, the theater, hosting pool parties, organizing cruises, or, various other events like dinner/dances, trips to the movies and bowling.

I’ve been on 70 cruises so, as you can probably tell, I’m atraveler, love to travel and sample all the delights the world has to offer.

Nothing beats the magical sight of the sun setting on a picturesque location like Casablanca, Maui, or, on top of Montemarte looking out over Paris. I also love soaking up the sun on Paradise Beach on the Greek island of Mykonos or other exciting destinations like Rio. Anywhere in Italy is always a good destination, as well.
I’m really good at
Coming up with creative solutions and ideas for advertisements. I remember being asked to come up with an idea for a billboard advertisement for a tour operator who wanted to promote trips to Mexico... My idea: during the gloomy, wet and snowy winter season in New York City when people were on their way to and from work or waiting for a train on the LI railroad platforms, I enticed them with a pleasant image of a smiling, happy couple on a great escape, having the time of their lives on the beach at Pie De La Questa in sunny and beautiful Acapulco. The advert did very well and was renewed and used again.
The first things people usually notice about me
If they’re not commenting on how friendly I am, people usually compliment my eyes. I’ve been told they are ‘baby blue’.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Ludlam, Cussler, Patterson, DeMille, Baldacci... I’m a big fan of suspense, mystery, spies and courtroom dramas

Movies: I really liked Silver Linings Playbook.

Music: The Beatles, Michael Buble’s ‘Haven’t Met You Yet’ (quite a fitting song for this site actually), Andrea Bocelli, and I really love music from ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. I went to a costume party dressed as the Phantom, while looking for my Christine! Haven't found her yet.
The six things I could never do without
Family, friends, my mind, air, water, AND, my new BFF, someone who will play a special part in the next chapter of our lives.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the past, my youth with so many childhood memories, and my overall life experiences, both the good and the bad.
I also like to think about my future, my future plans and whom I’ll be spending the rest of my life with. Could it be with you?
On a typical Friday night I am
I will probably be out with my meet-up friends, seeing the next new film, watching a talented live band or dining in a restaurant and enjoying each other’s company. Care to join me?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m a romantic. As an example, a couple of years ago, I had just started dating a woman who had grown up in Philadelphia. She told me that one of the things she really missed from Philly, were those delicious Pretzels that could only be found there, covered in mustard. We had arranged to go out to dinner later that week and the drive to the restaurant took close to an hour. So a couple of days before, I asked my sister, who still lives in the Philadelphia area, to overnight some fresh Pretzels, and scheduled them to arrive in the afternoon, right before I picked her up. So, as we were driving, she told me that she was hungry and couldn’t wait to get there. I suggested that she get the bag from the rear seat, to see if there was something she might like. She took it out, opened the bag, and there in the bag were the Pretzels. Her expression was priceless.
You should message me if
You are thoughtful, confident, in good shape, are kind, are happy, positive, have a good sense of humor, and enjoy life. Hopefully, you have a smile that can brighten up any one’s day. And if you love to gaze at a beautiful sunset and appreciate its beauty then you’re my kind of gal.
