I am of Hungarian descent on my father's side, who grew up near Roosevelt High School. I lived in Cincinnati for 9 years, and am happy to be returning to the Dayton area (I'm a Northmont grad). I will be a full time student at Wright State this fall (2009), hoping to get into the social work program there. Lots of changes going on right now.

I am in the process of moving from my dad's house, which is being sold in a short sale. For three years I took care of my father who was at home in hospice, who passed away in 2007 from congestive heart failure. That was a very difficult time in my life and I am glad it is behind me now.

I have a very talented son who is an artist and majored in computer animation, and just completed his degree. I am quite proud of him. I also have a delightful grandson so I get to enjoy the best of both worlds.

I am an only child but do not wish to remain single. I want a relationship that has a chance to grow. I love lively conversation and sharing experience -- but it has to give and take -- both giving one another a chance to express themselves and really LISTEN!

Most of all, I would like to find an intelligent, honest, dependable man who loves me as I love him, and spend our days together.

I am realistic enough to know we all have issues, and I am working on mine all the time. I would have never made it this far in my life without a spiritual center.

I am a Gemini, interested in subjects such as life after death, the paranormal and how normal it is, and considered myself a spiritual person -- and I listen to Coast to Coast AM with George Noory for fun. I don't expect everyone to believe in the same things I do, but respect my right to have these beliefs. I will show you the same respect. I also voted for Obama -- so if you are not of the same thought, or tolerant of others with differing opinions, I guess you can stop reading now! I believe in the power of hope, and positive change, starting with myself.

I am also a hedonist and a romantic -- I love to surround myself with beauty, sweet perfume, music, burning incense -- the whole sha-bang! And yet I am old-fashioned... and love to be wooed and courted, and take compliments extremely well!! (-: We all need positive affirmations from our significant other from time to time! Who wants to feel taken for granted? We need to keep that spark alive.

When I am out on a date with the man in my life, I want to feel like I am the most important person in the room, yet I don't wish to be smothered either. I don't want to hear about your past girlfriends (especially how wonderful they all were!) as I doubt you want to listen to ME go on about another man, when you are the man I am with! So you can expect the same from me.

I know lasting relationships take work, patience, and are an ongoing life lesson in of itself. I believe we are constantly evolving.

Why are we placed on this Earth unless to evolve and grow?

I am taking a new path and continue to grow in all aspects of my life.

Sci-fi books and movies -- favorite authors are Dan Simmons, Frank Herbert (his Lazarus series), Arthur C. Clarke, Fritz Lieber, Stephen King. Also love Louise Erdrich for "Love Medicine' and books about contemporary American Indian life; love to read about ancient history.

Family, friends, faith, cat(s), computer (which will take care of music, feeling connected with Internet access!) and my favorite books!
