My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
"...When I'm good, I'm very good. But when I'm bad ...I'm even better."

Outspoken, unconventional and more than a little irreverent! Negotiated million dollar deals, but found time to teach arts and crafts to disabled children. Flown aircraft from biplanes to jets, but also flew kites and model rockets with my boys. NOT like most of the guys you're gonna' meet, I'm the type of man Thoreau spoke of that "hears a different drummer", and to paraphrase Frost, I took the path less traveled. As comfortable in a suit at a concert as I am in the buff while "skinny dipping". Intelligent, articulate, witty, affectionate (even in public), energetic and maybe a little intense at times. As a Secular Humanist and an intellectual, I am a sensitive and caring man who is not afraid of feelings and emotions while still being strong and masculine. I'm now a semiretired consultant as well as a working artist in multiple medias. I tend to break out in song when the mood strikes (If you want to be serenaded, I'm your man). I enjoy flying, sailing, hiking, camping, motorcycling. music, reading, conversation, singing, art, cooking, touching, loving and being in love. I have a good sense of humor and like to joke around and have fun but can be serious when it counts! I appreciate honesty and open communication about feelings and don't play games (well, maybe some SERIOUS flirting). I want to be your best friend as well as your lover!

I'm too young to act my age and especially to be trapped in my dad's body, so lets' hurry up and have some fun! I love going up in my antique aircraft ..."come fly with me, come fly, let's fly away". If you'd rather cruise at a lower altitude, let’s stay below the clouds, put the top down on the convertible or jump on the motorcycle and hit the road. Too fast and free? Would you rather go to a jazz club and dirty dance the night away? Too energetic? Then we'll just share a quiet evening together with a good movie and a bottle of wine while feeding each other grapes!

I’m looking for a special partner to share life's experiences! I'm a "non-hopeless" romantic and will give lots of attention, but expect the same in return! I think intimacy is more complete when it transcends the physical and has an intellectual component (not that I'm discounting the "physical"). I know the value of flowers without a special occasion and simple expressions of affection. I enjoy cuddling or holding hands walking down the street. I'm ready for fun times, serious times, quite times, good conversation, sharing, arguing (and making up) and sunsets, (sunrises can be VERY nice too). Maybe we'll share a future full of the simple pleasures, like falling asleep in each others arms at night.

On the other hand, if two ships that pass in the night both end up in Jamaica, WHAT A PARTY!!!

"I am's what's I am's and that's all what I am's"

Except when I'm more... or less! (I'm SO complicated) ;-)

• The boy next door you've known and trusted ...a mysterious stranger's delicious thrill
• Mature, masculine, audacious, raw sensuality ...vulnerable, innocent, "Peter Pan" naivete
• Spontaneous daring adventurer on land, sea and in air ...reflective but outspoken intellectual and philosopher
• Seductive, confident, handsome, sexy Don Juan ...timid sufferer of lost love's sting
• Mischievous wit and charm with a worldly sophistication ...frequently frolics in foolish farcical fancies
• Singer, painter, sculptor, photographer, poet, scientist, technician, teacher, builder

(come here, let me peel you a grape)

*warnings and precautions
"use as directed"
"may be habit forming"

PS If my profile gives you the impression that I'm an incredibly busy fellow and that you "couldn't keep up with me" ;-) or think I may not even have the "time" for a relationship, I say "au contraire". I've been shuffling around this mortal coil for a long time so it's hard NOT to have accomplished a "few" things in my life, even if I took it easy (which I DEFINITELY do most of the time). Or maybe I'm just "efficient" LOL
However, I DID just by a new airplane (1958 Piper PA-24-280 Comanche) so I'm a busy playing with my new toy. But, of course, I can't ignore the rest of the family, my other four antique aircraft in various states of (dis)repair.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've accomplished a lot in my life so now I'm planning to change directions and let my artistic or creative side grow and work in visual and performing arts. I'm painting, creating sculpture in wood, metal, and mixed medias as well as singing live Jazz (whenever I can). I have a gallery show coming up in June. Just bought another airplane (that makes 5!)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
so many things that my biggest failing is my excessive modesty LOL

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I've got a good sense of humor and really like good jokes or puns, and a lot of people try to be glib and put something like "oxygen" here, which is rather witty, but without love, why would we all need oxygen, or even want to breath?

SO, here they are...
love, well of course,
passion (intellectual, emotional and physical)
intelligent conversation,
art (mine and others)
rational thought
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
... the meaning of life, although I think Monty Python did a good job attempting to answer that question in his movie of the same name (but I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE the restaurant gluttony scene). Remember that Socrates did say, "An unexamined life is not worth living". But ya' also gotta' learn to not take it all too seriously and have fun while you're doing the examining!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes I really get tired of being alone in this big house now that the family is gone ....especially sleeping alone!

You want to have fun with a creative and intelligent man who is also sensitive, loving and cares about people, especially you(?)
Even though I'm a "card carrying" atheist, I still sing Christmas carols with the Rubber band every season! But I really don't think we'll get along if you're a very religious person to whom faith and dogma is important (been there, done that, never again)
