Advocating the ideas of revolutionary socialism.

Pointing out the obvious. Clarifying what's not obvious. Listening and making constructive arguments.

Improvisational cooking within a framework of the fundamental themes of balance, moisture, heat and nutrition. Preparing for a victory for salt.

Getting my hands dirty. Bicycle mechanics. Making functional gadgetry to solve practical problems in an aesthetic manner.

Getting wrapped up in things. Letting things go.

Aesthetic offerings. Vibrational assessments.

Attention to detail, where it counts. With the exception of spelling. But then I get self-conscious and look it up anyway.

My preferred mode of transportation (bicycle) and wardrobe selection. These are not independent variables.

Reading: can't get enough of the Marxist, Lenninst and Trotskyist tradition, labor history, the history of struggle, economics and financial news. Occasional fiction, especially if it comes highly recommended.

Movies: anything black and white (extra points for subtitles). Most people have seen way more movies than I do, so I tend to like watching movies with friends, and follow their interests. Cohen brothers movies are generally awesome, I must say.

Classical music like Messiaen, Brahms, Bartok, Ravel, early Schoenberg, late Beethoven, Prokofiev. Rock like Zeppelin, Beatles, ELP, Country Joe & the Fish. I like good dance music and electronica altough I don't pay enough attention to who it is when I'm dancing. Salsa, Funk, Punk. Really, this list could go on and on.

Food: Raw is good. So are bacon-wrapped pork chops and arugula.

I used to think ice cream was essential, but it appears not to be.

I am polyamorous (I practice open relationships.) Since this term means many things to many people, here is some clarity:

I am not looking for a life partner, primary partner or marriage partner--where you have exactly one serious relationship to which all others must defer. I belive that every relationship should grow to its natural potential, which clearly cannot occur in this framework.

On the other hand, I am not looking for impersonal, meaning-free or one-night-only encounters. The best relationships are a form of long-term friendships. I have lived with partners before, enjoyed it, and would consider doing so again, although I am not in a rush to do so at the moment.

You are brilliant and want to kick it. Extra points for depth, of all sorts.
