I live with my wife of six years, and our marriage is loving, stable, open and honest. I am generally attracted to women, and I am pleased to form friendships with kindly and mindful people of all genders and orientations.

Key Beliefs
The dwelling is not the occupant. One's physical form shouldn't dictate anything about one's mind, interests or desires. Equal rights for all genders/orientations/relationships is mandatory.

Actions speak louder than words. Hypocrisy is unacceptable. Act in a manner consistent with your beliefs; hopefully with honour, discretion and kindness. Asking forgiveness is not acceptable if permission could have been sought first.

Honesty is more important than superficial feelings. Don't tell me what I want to hear, tell me what I need to hear.

Kindness is more important than being correct. Consider the context before you correct someone or pull out your big brain. Is it really so important to pronounce that word properly or have a ready answer to any question?

Plain speaking is paramount. I do not use or appreciate sarcasm. I do not insult others either seriously or "in fun." I strongly believe that honest, simple language is the best way of communicating.

Tight shoes are an abomination. Please be comfortable, please be yourself. Perfume is just as silly as make-up; it hides who you are. Nothing is so beautiful on a person as a genuine smile.

I'm a professional photographer, digital printmaker and digital fine artist. I also write software for image and video processing. I am heavily involved in the local arts and theatre communities. I do home renovations and auto repair. I go on long walks and bicycle rides. I cook. I clean. I do dishes. I live.

Listening.

Books: Well written science fiction and/or fantasy is always a treat. Particularly a fan of hard SF which in many ways can show us our future.

Movies: Well scripted and shot almost anything, although I'm willing to trade a certain amount of characterization for a great deal of blowing shit up.

Music: From Bach to Beatles to Buddha Bar to Bjork and beyond. I keep my MP3 player on "shuffle everything" and whatever happens, happens. I'm particular about vocalists, though -- no Autotune and no whining.

TV: The TV is used for video gaming; I don't have cable. I do watch TV shows occasionally, but shows are downloaded and watched intentionally and on my schedule.

Video games: RPGs and first-person action titles. I don't do WoW because I know it would suck my life away. And the best role playing game afoot is the real world.

Food: I eat mindfully. Not too much. Mostly plants.

Good friends. Touch. The Internet. Solitude. Music. Walking barefoot in the grass on a warm, breezy spring day.

The nature of the universe and consciousness. Personal and group philosophy.

Watching a movie or playing a video game at home with friends or family.

The only secrets I keep are those others give me. I don't keep my own secrets; I'm not ashamed. Ask me anything you like.
