I'm intelligent and sporadically funny. My interests are truly various ranging from things of an artistic nature (ie photography and singing) to science (wildlife biology and genetics education). I'm a true-to-form geek. If you can catch almost every reference in Big Bang Theory, we should be hanging out. I also run a local meetup group called Durham Geeks Activity Group. While definitely geeky, I still like to go outdoors and get out with other human beings as much as possible. Since moving to Durham I've discovered kayaking and rock climbing, which I'd love to do more of and have been incredibly slack on. I really miss the mountains I grew up in and going hiking.

I spend a lot of time reading, going to movies, playing with animals, trying to find good conversation, exploring museums, taking photos, playing board and video games, running, volunteering, singing, attempting to learn Italian, and trying to sew. I love to cook and do so often, as anyone who's spent time in my house will happily tell you. I live to feed and entertain people.

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year. This IS important. I love the chance to go to cons where I can play dress-up. Any excuse for crazy costumes is good.

I'm into the goth and fetish scenes though don't know much about the local scene and events.

I do digital imaging and quality assurance on weekdays and volunteer my time with animals or attempting a new race or obstacle course on weekends.

A lot of things, if modesty isn't an issue. Cooking, photography, boardgames, singing, convincing animals to like me, understanding scientific concepts, and wearing cool hats.

Food - anything tasty but I tend to lean towards Italian and Mediterranean foods when it's my turn to pick where dinner will be. I've just recently discovered a severe love for sushi. Apparently not liking cooked fish doesn't mean it's bad raw.

How to achieve what I want in life, going to back to school, what to cook next, trying to teach my brain to think in a foreign language. Occasionally, these thoughts are set to music. Sometimes it's that damn hamster dance song....
