I have a totally goofy sense of humor. trust me.

biking, printing, drawing, story telling, trying to figure how to etch out a living doing what I love. finding magic in the everyday stuff.

loving and supporting my friends. color combinations. finding similarities between different genres of art and music. learning new things. cracking a half decent pun. mix tapes and hand sewn letters.

stranger: "so you're an artist?"
me: (you're psychic?) "yes, I am."
stranger: "you've got paint on you."
me: (embarrassed, and somewhat unaware I am covered in ink.) "oh."

also sometimes my bike. I've got a pretty hot bicycle.

music: kaki king. the marvellettes. le tigre. bjork. godspeed! you black emperor. cat power. devo. p.j harvey. captain beefheart. stereolab. kleenex/liliput. javelin. HEALTH. blue hawaii. talking heads. roxy music. callers. lightning bolt. mirah.

books: anything by jeanette winterson or paul auster. or some poststructuralist something. theory books of all kinds that stretch your mind and make your head hurt a bit. love it.

movies: adaptation. burnt by the sun. baraka. naked lunch (the movie). inception. white nights. i heart huckabees. back to the future. the cradle will rock.

I don't watch or even have a tv, but I do watch old episodes of futurama and twin peaks on netflix.

food: all of it.

beauty. best friends #1 and #2. sunshine. sea salt. vegetables. tea.

cooperatives, art, and the economy. systems theory. aesthetics too. sweeping overviews with a smattering of minute detail or being swept up in the minutia of smatteringness. I made that last one up, but getting lost in the details, or anything really, is fun.

printing. I like to go out on weekdays for less crowds. if an event is crowded I'll stop by and squeeze the people I know and take off. I call myself a closet introvert. lots of friends, lots of alone time. too much talking can make me grumpy.

on the flip, I like a lot of noise punk and dream pop and it is not unusual to find me in the middle of (or instigating) a mosh pit or dance party.

I can and have listened to "in your eyes" on repeat for an hour straight. I would never expect anyone to do this with me, or have to overhear it.

yes, I am a hopeless romantic and I like to cuddle.

you communicate well and are emotionally literate. this matters very much to me in every relationship I have: casual, friendship, or romantic; and I am interested in all of those types of relationships at this time.
