My self-summary
I'm looking for a great conversationalist to mock me ruthlessly and join me in silliness. If you have some nerd/geek or some flirt to you, all the better. And a love for food or entertainment would be a big bonus.

I once flew to Spain for a dinner reservation at the best restaurant in the world. Though I can equally enjoy a hole-in-the-wall Ethiopian spot or a burger and beer bar. Most week nights I find it relaxing to stroll through the aisles of Whole Foods or a farmers' market and then whip up some dinner together at home.

Some weekends I like to get out of town, be it Laguna, Santa Barbara. I also kayak three times a week and enjoy some beach time. But I'm also down for a winter ski trip. I've only been camping once, but I would really like to try more of it.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to buy those chinese style soup spoons. Also, I'd like to never wear the same pair of socks twice.

Work wise -- I'm a tv writer. That said, I hope I spend most of my time traveling with people I want to spend time with, including family.

(Note: to the one who asked me about it... yes... I do mean time-traveling. I am indeed a time-traveler. This is evidenced by the fact I know the next thing you're going to do is finish reading this sentence.)
I’m really good at
Cooking. And finding fun things to do to keep busy. I seek out new restaurants, beers and cocktails like it's a hobby... mostly because it is. I'm also fairly good at being snarky. Me love quips. Not to mention the word quip.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm walking their way and that I clearly want to talk to them. I suppose it could also be my fedora, satchel and whip, if I'm at a costume party.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
FOOD / RESTAURANTS
If it's on a menu I will try it. I LOVE restaurant dining. If you're in the LA area you should definitely check out La Casita Mexicana, Din Tai Fung, Picca, Father's Office, Coni' Seafood, Zam Zam Market and Lazy Ox Canteen. Definitely message me if you know of any great places for me to check out!

BOOKS
House of Leaves, Ishmael, Invisible Monsters, Lost in the Cosmos, Watchmen, American Hero, World War Z, Scalped, The Walking Dead. If you haven't read A Happy Marriage by Rafael Yglesias it is an incredible and emotional roller-coaster.

TV
Friday Night Lights, The Wire, Buffy, The West Wing, Sports Night, Battlestar Galactica, How I Met Your Mother, Doctor Who. If it's Sorkin, Whedon, Abrams, Katims, Moore/Eick, Moffatt... you can pretty much count on my viewing being tallied in your Live+7 ratings (that's for the tv numbers nerds out there)

MOVIES
Seven, Groundhog Day, The American President, All the President's Men, The Insider, 12 Monkeys, When Harry Met Sally, Network, The Third Man, Almost Famous, Jaws, The Shining, The Conversation, Straw Dogs, Silence Of The Lambs. Also pretty much every Pixar movie. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is still one of the funniest movie I've seen in a long time... though Bridesmaids is certainly in the running. I may have to do back to back viewings for accuracy's sake.

BOARDGAMES
Settlers of Catan, Ticket To Ride, Pandemic, Funglish, Dominion, Set.
The six things I could never do without
A cast-iron pan, a farmers market, a DVR box, comic books, family, and a Father's Office burger.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What fun to do this weekend and where to eat along the way.
On a typical Friday night I am
This question works better if it's NOT a "typical" Friday... in which case I'll be in an airport bar getting sauced before a flight to Costa Rica. Or maybe partying all night before the Running of the Bulls.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I only recently learned how to sneeze.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–32
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If you're someone who likes to try new foods, explore new places or travel you should definitely send me a message. I love my job and entertainment is a big part of my life, so a love of TV and/or movies would help. Also, if you have some kind of charming and/or witty personality and want to mock me, I'll support that.

Or if you're the person who invited me to your tree-house and then deleted your profile, we could probably have an interesting discussion.
