I am playful, assertive, and thoughtful.

My Self-Summary

I want to meet people, go on dates, and have fun. Joined Okcupid hoping to meet people outside of my regular friend groups. I am impressed by (and attracted to) people who can balance being passionate but also easy going.

I love going out and staying in for food.

I consider myself a sex-positive, compassionate lover that gets turned on by flirty, kinky, confident people who know how to talk *and* listen.

Looking for someone to date non-exclusively. Accepting applications and love letters.

Est-ce tu peux me comprendre? L'état de mon français: quelle tristesse.

Mais je voudrait apprendre! J'espère que c'est possible.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm late, I'm easy to read, I'm on a bike.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: The Book of Illusions by Paul Auster, Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins, The History of Sexuality: An Introduction, vol.1 by Michel Foucault, How to Cook a Wolf by MFK Fisher, Redefining our Relationships by Wendy O'Matik.

Movies/TV: BSG, Star Trek: TNG, Flight of the Conchords, Les Triplettes de Belleville, XXY.

Music: Anything, especially sassy women musicians like Neko Case, Nina Simone, MIA, and Ann & Nancy Wilson of Heart fame. I also like crooning dude musicians like Elvis Costello, Paul Simon, the Beach Boys, Rae Spoon, and Otis Redding. I can dig metal and classic rock, too, I'm good at sharing the stereo. I'm also into anything and everything I can dance to or listen to while riding bikes, like Diplo or DJ CPI mixes. Pop, rock, indie, hip hop, noisy rawk, motown, whatever is all good. I've been listening to SomaFM's Indie Pop Rocks steam a lot lately. Oh, I really hate some music. You know, Bright Eyes, Alexisonfire, Macy Gray, and those awful Putamayo CDs they play in fairtrade coffeeshops.

Food: Any kind of home style meal is probably something I would like. I like food that has lots of thought put into it, but I also like food that just sort of happens.
Dinner parties are when I bust out my French or Persian cuisine skills and do things that seem impressive but are actually really easy like bake bread.
Korean food is comforting, but I don't have any real emotional connection to eating it. It's just really good and cheap and spicy and that makes me feel comforted, I guess.
