My self-summary
Hi, thanks for reading/looking.

I'm a BBC (British born Chinese) and recently moved to China for work. So, English is my first language and my Mandarin is pretty poor.... I do speak Cantonese though :)

I enjoy travelling and have lived in Thailand for 3 years as well as England for about 25 years... I also enjoying eating good food, eating out, the cinema, sport (I'm a big football fan and plan to go to Brazil in 2014 for the World Cup).

So after a year here, i guess its time to update:-

I'm still BBC - though definitely learnt a lot about what it is to be Chinese in a year living in Suzhou. English is still my first language, but i worked hard on my mandarin in a year and have gotten it to a stage where i can communicate (albeit with a rather strong HK/laowai accent)

I'm not going Brazil for the World Cup, instead Ill be doing a road trip on West coast America!

Please feel free to ask me any questions :)
What I’m doing with my life
Life goals - make a difference in someone's life, see as much of the World as possible, cherish my family and friends, eat yummy food.

update 2014 - still pretty much the same. I didnt travel enough in 2013... need to fix that asap.
I’m really good at
laughing things off I think. If something goes wrong I like to have a laugh about it.

I'm also pretty decent at squash.
The first things people usually notice about me
How my Mandarin sounds kinda odd haha

On the other hand, how fluent my English is.

a lot of people also say i don't look like a teacher.... :(
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Favourite books - Game of Thrones, Any John Grisham, Dan Brown, I also like applied economics books like Freakonomics.

Favourite movies - wow.... too many. in general almost any movie is worth watching even if its bad - helps you to appreciate the good ones! :)

Food - Japanese, Thai, Italian and Chinese :)
The six things I could never do without
1. Family
2. Food
3. Friends
4. Health
5. Happiness
6. Love

Update 2014:

under Happiness includes laughing. I love laughing and making others around me laugh. even if it means being a little silly sometimes. :)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
making friends in China, learning Mandarin
