people are always telling me they're surprised that i like the kinda music & movies i do... mostly hard alternative and horror i luv animals, especially dogs & am a true dog person not only bcuz it's my chinese zodiac but bcuz i'm as loyal as they come, but, you have to earn that loyalty.

i'm usually pretty quiet until i feel comfy around a person, but once i do i can talk your ear off. i am very honest & expect the same from others. i look more innocent, or should I say "straight-laced" than i am. my friends say i'm weird (of course, not michael jackson {RIP} weird). i say i'm just quirky. i AM shy so it's hard to meet people. i get along with everyone & i'm a great friend. i'm good girl who's extremely laid back & easy going.i DO like to have fun but i'm NOT a party girl.

i'm a media-phile. love music, tv, movies, and playing on the computer. love to dance, and sing and cherish all things arts related. also love to cook (been doing it since i was 4). i'm REALLY interested in pretty baby-faced boys (although, i have also been known to go for the geeky/weirdos as well) but i usually just admire them from afar because i'm shy when it comes to meeting guys... and my best friend says i'm a freak because i'm "the ONLY woman in the world who likes short guys".

i recently started working as a 2nd grade (now 4th grade) reading tutor at an elementary school. i've been trying to find a full time teaching job for the last couple years with no luck. most of my interviews have all ended with them saying that they basically love me but want someone with experience. i guess 4 years as a substitute teacher, teaching assistant, and tutor doesn't count. i'm not making a lot of money. but hopefully it'll be worth it in the long run.

UPDATE: well, i've been trying for 5 years now and can't get anyone to hire me as a teacher. i think i'm done. i love kids and know i'm a great teacher, but this is ridiculous. so...i've pretty much decided to give it up and start working on getting my I.T. certifications jand just work with computers. i spend all my free time doing it anyway, so why not get paid for it, right?

Books: anne rice (the vampire chronicles, etc), stephen king, kurt vonnegut, shakespeare, Franz Kafka, the outsiders (one of my all-time favorite books), harry potter... i used to be an avid reader but since i've gotten into computers i've kinda given up reading. it's been years since i've read a book (at least, all the way through) that wasn't for school. i have several books that i've started but have yet to finish... so i can't think of any of my other faves at the moment. LOL

Food: cuban, mexican, italian... anything with tons of cheese (i LOVE cheese!)

you are someone who is honest, non-judgmental, laid back and easy going, into heavy/alternative music, horror and action movies and genuinely kind to all people but likes to engage in friendly philosophical or political debates. i'd like you to be compassionate and different. i don't like loud obnoxious guys but you gotta have a little edge. no players, jocks, or perverts. i like sensitive guys and i want someone who thinks of more than just himself.
