My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a bit quirky, and enjoy hanging out watching a movie, going to see shows, or being involved with theater in general. I'm very much a geek, and at least enjoy my own sense of humor. I have a penchant for Hawaiian shirts. I also really enjoy cooking and fixing things.

I am geeky, funny, and cuddly.

Happily married to look_a_shiny, but open for more.

I also tend to feel very self conscious in conversation, especially when talking with new people. I really have trouble figuring out when in the course of making friends I should actually bring up topics. This somehow always comes across as shy and/or creepy, and I don't mean to be.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as an automation Systems Engineer. Ask if you want details.

Slowly restoring a 1979 Jeep CJ7 - though that's been put on hold until funds are more liquid.

I'm into theatrical lighting and sound, I fix things, collect and restore vintage (50s to 80s) lab equipment, make small projects with Arduino/PIC microcontrollers, see plays/musicals/shows, I camp a couple of times a year in Maine and New Hampshire.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, fixing electro/mechanical things, making a room groan from a good/bad joke, computers, saying the wrong thing at the right moment.

Getting in the way when trying to help.

Also, really good with my hands.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The bad puns.
Or apparently, my beard.

Rocks, Trees, Ocean. As a single thing, and time to enjoy them.
My glasses
Bad jokes.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Puns, how things work, human sociological constructs, cute animals, completely random things, the origins of various traditions.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home, cooking something nice and watching a movie/show with the wife.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I compensate for anxious situations with humor. But just because I'm being funny doesn't mean I'm anxious.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You like a dry/sarcastic/'lame' sense of humor, vent at, need something fixed, or are willing to try and get to know someone who has a quiet depth to them and is unable to compress it meaningfully for an online dating summary. Or if you are interested in anything I'm looking for.
