I'd like to think I'm a pretty laid back person. I prefer a spontaneous activity to a wholly planned out weekend. Fresh air is underrated. So are newspaper crossword puzzles (I'm not actually any good at them though). I think my sister is the coolest person around. I have a sweet tooth and try desperately to avoid the ice cream aisle at the grocery store. I like to run, but my legs hate me for it. I'm very stubborn and I'll argue just to get a rise out of someone. Sometimes shy and awkward; sometimes wildly outgoing. Fluent in sarcasm. Passionate.
I am a nurse in a DC emergency room, which both makes me happy and keeps me rather busy.
I travel with Habitat for Humanity. My goal is to do at least one trip per year. It's an incredible way to travel...you get to build and provide for others who need help, and you get to explore and experience new cultures. Not much better. I have no problems traveling independently, and actually find it rather liberating. It's amazing how many friends you'll make along the way. People always ask why I don't do medical mission trips...my answer: I would love to some day, but I do medical things every day...It's nice to do some manual labor and give back in another way.
As for what I'm looking for: I'm not here to rush into anything, but I'm also not looking for something that has no future potential. I'd like to find a man who is confident in who he is, but isn't cocky about it. Someone who can put up with a few snarky and sassy comments, and who can dish it right back. Someone who will tell me when I'm wrong and will challenge me in all aspects.
