My self-summary
I like to think of my self as interested...a friend once called me an enthusiast...always trying to turn myself and others on to the new (to me)......I'm into art and music and literature and politics and basketball and traveling and finger picking a guitar in the background and goats and alternative social institutions and engaging with people and hearing their stories and, in general, reveling in this absurd thing called life.
What I’m doing with my life
wondering why I left that idyllic Mexican beach....oh right.....all these fun projects and lovely people....ok then.....i guess what I'm doing then is constructing a life where taking off to Mexico for a month is not possible, not possible.....
I’m really good at
making tomato sauce from scratch.......listening and then asking the right questions.....finding the best cup of coffee/meal/bar/show almost immediately when i first get to a new city/town....headstands......(handstands coming soon (aaand I got it!)....So I guess setting goals and achieving them too....
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I've read almost everything by david foster wallace, herman hesse, kurt vonnegut, denis johnson, don delillo...as for non-fiction/thinkers: j.k galbraith, naomi klein, douglas rushkoff, robert anton wilson, william cronon, gary snyder, alan watts, joseph campbell....

Movies: Synecdoche ny, wet hot american summer, melancholia, holy mountain, the wicker man, all watched over by machines of loving grace (adam curtis is amazing)...encounters at the end of the world.. i would like to get more into the classics...wanna go on a french new wave kick with me?

Music: kate bush, stars of the lid, mississippi john hurt ,octo octa, underworld, olivia tremor control, neutral milk hotel, and really anything e6 related, daniel higgs, lungfish, wooden wand, tara jane o'neil, diane cluck, danny paul grody, mark mcguire, john fahey, jack rose, CAN, neil young, peter gabriel, charlambides, skygreen leopards, wu-tang, biggie, pharcyde....my first concert ever was faith no more, GnR, and metallica, my second was the grateful dead.....the last show i went to was the Hiss Golden Messenger/date palms/meg baird show at at cafe du nord....though missed meg because they started the show on time....which, like, when did that begin happening? I mean, this is rock & roll people......ok,ok...so it's folk and droney post-rock but still.....though I did enjoy being in bed back in the east bay before midnight (hello 30's!)

food: veggies....love me some veggies......
The six things I could never do without
1. friends/family 2. bourbon 3. yoga 4. music 5. sunshine 6. wandering
I spend a lot of time thinking about
how the variety of my life's experiences and interests are integrating into some positive contribution to the world...when can i sneak in my next game of hoops and/or yoga.......trying to talk myself into staying in one place.....

On a meta note, as in things I think about while perusing this here website: how did the trend of ladies ending usernames with -saurus begin? whats the point of the star thing if it only tells me like 15% of the people who gave me the electronic version of eye contact, 'cause I mean who is really gonna pay for this? Wow, a lot of people care about grammar. I'm going to have to come up with a new schtick for the friday night section if they (and by "they" I guess I mean Fabio's music lawyers?) keep killing the link.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sing and/or talk to myself in Spanish when I ride my bicycle by myself
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 22–35
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you know what 6.4 equals
you wanna go for a walk in the woods
when you overhear someone talk about Detroit you think "oh, the possibilities" not "apocalypse now"
you consider yourself a warm, good person
you just googled adam curtis, watched one of his docs, and now have to chat about it over coffee or a beer

update: found an indoor mini-golf place in Alameda (I think it has air-hockey too:)...let's go!
