hullo...how YOU doin??? allow myself to...err...ummm...introduce myself. my name is alex. i work in the medical field as a medical assistant for a dpm...doctor of podiatric medicine...foot doctor. i give great foot massages...and even have references available upon request. granted...they're from lil' old ladies...and some dudes (not that i want to be touching some guy's foot...i always offer the men powder...but some of them prefer lotion...those sick bastards!!!). i'm very honest and open...so if you have any questions...just ask away. i've been described as funny, sarcastic, warm, gentlemanly, attentive, nice and smart...yay me! i'm loyal...to a fault sometimes. i believe in chivalry & try to practice it as much as humanly possible. it is something my parents instilled in me since i was a little boy; HOWEVER, it seems that my manners are wasted on a lot of people. if i hold the door open for you...is it too much to give/expect a thanks in return??? i'm not holding it open for my health. the same with automotive courtesy. if i let you into my lane or let you turn in front of me... a wave of thanks would be appreciated. anyhoo...dammit...i forgot what i was gonna say. oh yeah...i love sports, music (94.5), the simpsons, star wars and movies...actually...movies should be underlined...or i could've just capitalized it...d'oh! each of my vices has its own level of fanaticism. yes...i watch all sports. go lakers!!! yes...i go to the MOVIES (see...i do learn) at least twice a month and purchase many of them on dvd. it may seem like i talk A LOT...but in all honesty...i'm a SUPER shy person. chances are i've viewed your profile...liked it...and chickened out when attempting to write you. so i probably "winked" @ you instead. i'm sure you're thinking..."if he's that shy on the computer, how shy will he be in person?" well...i'll be that much more shy. BUT...i'm only shy in the beginning. that is until i get to know you or at least feel comfortable. if we have movies in common...or you are a lakers fan...or a star wars fan...or have got a thing for someone with a mouth full of metal (cause i've got my braces on until february 2011)...etc...that will help solve the pythagorean theorem that is my shyness. i can't really emphasize enough how much i like going to the movies...there are times when i go two days in a row and see 4 movies. then there are times when i don't go for a month. so it would be a HUGE plus if you also like going to the movies. you have to love to laugh and smile. even if it is at yourself...a woman's laugh can be so sexy. so can winking. i wish i knew how to wink. when i try to wink...what i end up doing is actually...in many countries...called "blinking." i'm a tv junkie...if it's not sports (basketball especially), it's sports shows i.e. pti & around the horn, true blood, the office, 30 rock, ugly betty, flight of the conchords, nip/tuck, man vs. wild, man vs. food, the simpsons, curb your enthusiasm. i'm a romantic at heart. i love giving more than i do receiving. i love sending a girlfriend flowers...for no reason what-so-ever. i love sending them when it's unexpected...and then i get the happy/giggling/blushing phone call of gratitude. that just makes me feel GRRRRRRRRRREAT!!! i find it disturbing when a girl says, "flowers are a waste of money" or "all they're going to do is die." that just makes me think that whomever feels that way, has not received any/many flowers from their significant other...and it makes me feel sad for them. EVERY girl should be showered with flowers by their boyfriend every once in a while. lastly...family is very important to me...and i'm pretty family oriented...so hopefully you are as well...or at least understand/appreciate/respect where im coming from. my 3yo niece is my best friend. my love for her...well...it is something so pure and rich...it is something i've NEVER experienced before. i didn't know love like this was possible. it makes me really want kids. well...i didn't think i'd get through this daunting task of updating my profile. but i did...yay me!!! *curtsie* please...please...the applause are enough...it's not necessary to through flowers and phone numbers at me. you've been a great audience. keep it real houston!!!

p.s. if you have read all the way through...i hope you have not contracted cataracts. cause that would suck...especially since i work for a foot doctor. now if you contracted some form of athletes foot from reading my profile...i could help. *blink* (that was my attempt at winking at you)

p.s.s. i just read my own profile (in order to proofread it...not cause i'm so vain and in love with myself...sha!!!) anyhoo...i just PROOFREAD my own profile...and it is the most awesomest profile i've ever read. i laughed, i cried, i did a little dance. anyhoo...it's so awesome i forgot i wrote it and tried to message myself. then i got the error message that says my profile does not accept messages from the same sex. you girls are lucky...you get to message me. be prepared to be in total awe of my awesomeness. it's blinding!!! hah!!! cataracts may actually be expected from having read my profile!!!

they've just announced that a lone star campus is opening up right across the street from the medical office i work in. so in about a year...i'm going back to school. this has always been the biggest personal blemish for me. now that it's across the street...i will not have anymore excuses for not going back to school.

being very patient. i get requests from patients who've never met me...asking if i can be the one to inject them...or if i can give them a foot massage. (yes...i know feet can be gross to some people...but working in the medical field...well...at least it's not the worst end you could be working on...know that i mean?) i also know usless trivial stuff. mostly movie related...

now...my braces. before...it was my smile.

books...any of the choose you're own adventure or pop up books. of mice and men & to kill a mockingbird. one child. the war with grandpa. i have a bunch of the books i read as a kid...i plan on passing them down to my kid(s). i.e. courdoroy, a pocket for courdoroy, curious george, where the wild things are. i have all of chuck palahniuk's fiction novels...i just haven't read them all. i've also got a thing for recipe magazines. i subscribe to food & wine, gourmet, and bon appetit.

movies: really?!? ummm...too many to list. i'm a star wars nerd...but don't go around quoting lines from the movies. i also have to say spartacus, awakenings, finding nemo, superbad, the dark knight. my taste for movies is totally eclectic. it doesn't matter the genre. if it looks interesting...i'll watch it. action, sci fi, musicals, drama, foreign, chick flicks, disney, horror, etc...i'll watch it all. i have a website i frequent that i've listed all of the movies i own...and if i own it...i like it.

music: i listen to 94.5 & sports talk radio. i also like top 40.
