My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I come from rural roots – think redneck version of Anne of Green Gables but with even more hard labor involved. Wanderlust led me to living abroad for 5 years (Germany, Taiwan, Japan) and hence becoming more like a “global citizen”. Let's get to the deal breakers/makers pronto: I don't have a TV and have lived without one most of my life. If it's possible to be over-educated, I'm might qualify...23yrs in school with BA, MA, and Ph.D. all in different areas. Cool, right – I know. If you are still reading, more makers and breakers…I’m an INFP, HSPer+high sensation seeker, thinker but not advocator, relatively goal driven, adventurous, very aesthetic and completely passionate about my work. I’m athletic but not really a sports fan. Mostly, I’m a runner (one identity I will claim) who loves salsa dancing and other excuses to get dolled up. Friends describe me as genuine, insightful, practical, minimalist, efficiency minded, somewhat tomboyish, surprisingly domestic (cook, clean-yes, even windows…ok, I don’t sew but wouldn’t mind learning) and effervescent (yep, someone actually said that and meant it!).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Work-wise: As a teacher I wear a lot of hats - facilitator, cheerleader, life-coach, mentor, guru of skill development, creative genius, etc. Basically, I teach college level speaking skills and specialize in accent modification for non-native English speakers. Self-wise: When I’m not working, I’m working out or running - have a goal of a 4-hr marathon. Enjoy reading on and figuring out how to live a more balanced and intentional life. I salsa dance, bead, read Cook's Illustrated, and would like to spend more time planning trips.
Relationship-wise: Having fun and meaningful interactions with co-workers and friends. Creating opportunities to meet new people. (Not looking for "mr right" or someone to 'complete me' - I've already figured out the myth there.) I would, however, love a healthy supportive passionate adventurous fun inspiring mind, body, soul connection. Who doesn't?!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-being MacGyver in the kitchen by creating a dinner with whatever is in the fridge or pantry
-making healthy eating and exercise routine while still allowing for indulgences that are worth it
-avoiding/procrastinating things I don't like to do
-teaching/facilitating/accent mod coaching

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You are...
-a chivalous alpha manly-man...(yes, I'm independent but I prefer not to lead)
- verbal-linguistic, nerd/brainiac-type
-the kind of guy who would notice the air-level in my car tires and/or notice something needs fixed and fix it...gotta love a handy man!
-a guy who truly enjoys partner dances (or would be willing to learn)
- a camper, hiker (mountain over beach person), National Park fan, international traveler
-a person who appreciates finer things but doesn't judge others by their income level.
