My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Actually not in the area right now. Traveling but hoping to settle back down somewhere to start an MFA program in creative writing in the Fall.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Writing grants for adorable preschool aged immigrants, baking cookies, exploring Alexandria and DC
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making book suggestions and deviled eggs, listening, and playing devil's advocate.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my curly hair or my laugh (hopefully both in a good way, but that depends on the humidity level).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love to read anything that isn't too scary. Some of my favorites are Prince of Tides, The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye (even though it is cooler to say Franny and Zooey), Enders Game, and A Wrinkle in Time.

Reds is definitely my favorite movie. If you haven't seen it you should check it out. Who doesn't love an epic about the Russian Revolution? I like to make borscht when I watch it.

Among other shows, I am in love with Mad Men, Downton Abbey, and Parks and Rec.

I like eating lots of different kinds of food. I don't like things that are so spicy that I cry, but other than that I am open to try anything at least once.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Time to read, cosy blankets, netflix instant play, Skype chats with my little sister, gps on my phone, my blender.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Political goings on, trips I want to take, books I want to read, jobs I want to have and what I'm going to have for dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends or curled up with previously mentioned cosy blanket enjoying a book or netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once sang "Natural Woman" by Carol King in a middle school talent show.
